The Trough in Wexford

Cozy spot with friendly service and tasty food. The menu offers good variety and the atmosphere is pleasant. Unfortunately, the bread was a bit dry, which took away from the experience. Still, a solid visit overall

Very good cafè with a sheltered terrace on the crescent in Wexford town. Delicious cakes and pastries made on the premises accompanied by a great array of coffee, tea and hot chocolate as well as soft drinks. A good people watching venue.

So, up to today, this place is my favourite little place to have a coffee and catch up with friends and family but today the lady at the till (whom I haven’t seen before) tried to charge me for hot milk with my cappuccino. I always get the tiniest bit of hot milk with my cappuccino with no issues (the people who work there are soo lovely) but today was going to get charged for it. It certainly left me with a bitter taste and a real shame as I am a very loyal customer but will be happily trying out other cafes which Wexford luckily has in abundance. It’s the little things that mean a lot to customers but penny pinching for a bit of milk is not something that I appreciate. Thank you to all the staff over the years who have been brilliant, I have had lots of really nice memories there.

Amazing coffee place in Wexford! The brunch menu looks good too. Always crowded but worth the wait! Staff is attentive and friendly. I really like the vibe here!!

Superb food. 1 sandwich big enough for 2 of us to share. We sat outside and it was busy.

As it was my first time visiting The Trough on Wexford Quay, I took a seat in the cafe, no sign of service so after awhile I approached the counter and was told to order at till, which I would have if I had known!!, not very friendly. The food was good but not much of an atmosphere. If you are going do remember to order at till before sitting down, if not you will be there for a while.
