The Trough in Wexford

This is a nice spot down by the Cresent Quay. Good coffee & cakes, and the salmon sandwich I had for lunch was amazing.

Really cute cafe for food in Wexford town and this place was recommended to us for food. Just order and pay at the till and sit wherever you like. French toast was nice but didn’t have enough matcha and chai latte could have had a bit more chai. Overall everything was nice and the food didn’t take long. We came just after the cafe opened. Lots of lovely pastries to choose from as well if you want something on the go.

Love! Love! Love this place! Superb coffee. Excellent baked goods. A super breakfast and lunch menu filled with seriously delicious food. Staff that are so friendly and helpful. Honestly, I wouldn't go anywhere else for coffee and snacks or lunch on Wexford. Highly recommended *****

Food was great. Give the lavender in coffee a miss though. Staff standing around while you have to serve yourself wasn't great.

I don’t think 5 stars is high enough for this coffee shop! I am a serious coffee nerd and am very picky when it comes to where I buy a coffee from and I have to say this place is probably the best coffee I’ve had in Ireland, and trust me I’ve tried hundreds of coffee shops. We came here on the first day of our trip to Wexford and we ordered an iced coffee, a cortado and a cinnamon bun, all so good we had to order seconds. We came back the next day for brunch and I got the trough eggs with bacon and he got the breakfast bap! Both massive portions and so unbelievably tasty and we each got cortados, we ordered a second cortado each because they are truly just that good! The staff are so kind and chatty and always so helpful! They are so sweet! Finally I just want to comment on the interior of the shop, it is beautiful and rustic, and this theme is seen throughout everything including dishes you’re served in and the seating areas! I live in Dublin where there are many amazing coffee shops but I know I will think about this place once I leave!
