Stayed here for one night on 3rd June 2025, managed to bag the 10 bed dorm all to myself 🙌 staff were all really friendly and helpful, room was super clean and spacious and the cost included breakfast. Had a cheeky pint of Achill Island lager at the very cosy bar on site as well. Highly recommend this place.

The proprietor, Pat, is amazing. He goes out of his way to make sure we are all comfortable and happy. Highly recommend if you are traveling alone or with family.

"The Valley House Hostel and Bar is a charming and cozy spot with a unique character. The staff is welcoming, the bar has a great atmosphere, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable stay!"

19th century rural villa located in the middle of the countryside with a decadent charm. Very welcoming and characteristic. Very helpful and friendly restaurant staff with adequate prices. The only discordant note was the room temperature, which was not independently adjustable, and despite the continuous operation of the radiator it never exceeded 18 degrees.

The Station House Hotel

05/06/2025: We had a wonderful short break at the Station house :welcoming,personally tailored to our needs, great hospitality , food and drink were special, the grounds were superb, staff very friendly and professional. Go treat yourself to a stay here. Memorable.

07/06/2025: I actually came here because I wanted a Sheppard's pie. Unfortunately, they don't always have them. So I opted for fish and chips and was disappointed by a bland fish with a pile of peas and a thimbleful of tartar sauce. The sauce and the peas would have been bearable if at least the fish had tasted good. What a shame! The staff were friendly and the place was quite large, so getting a table wasn't a problem.
