The Valley House Bar in

Well, it's just a blast here. The food, the place, the people, the whole island is simply TOP. It cannot be described, it must be seen and experienced. Beautiful, thanks.

Loved our stay here . Food is fab in the restaurant in the evening and the breakfast is plentyfull . There's a bar to the rear and a good outdoor seating area . Staff are lovely , friendly and attentive. Would stay here again 🤩

Thank you for the warm welcome. Your trainee Emma did a splendid job checking us in and showing us arround the house explaining everything with a bright smile. The rooms & beds were super comfortable and the rainshower was a great addition. Absolutely recommended. Sept. 2024

Fantastic location, great food, great service and cosy bar for a few drinks after our meal. We were staying locally so walked. When we were walking back we were pleasantly surprised to have street lighting. We would highly recommend the Valley house and we will be back.

Everything is top, at the crossroads between the hotel and the inn, well located, very quiet, nice pub. Price accordingly if you want a single room.

I came across this hostel on a group trip, we had a great time. Comfortable rooms, and great food! Recommended ☺️

Absolutely loved our visit to this historic house! We went to the fairy trail which the kids enjoyed, we then decided to go in and see if the bar was open. It is an old building, as is the bar but that is its charm! The fire and candles were lit which we loved, we had a local pint of ale and decided we had to come back for dinner which we did the next day. Mussels, possibly the best Burger I have ever had and then the Lemon Pie to finish, the food was amazing! The kids had the pizza which was equally as good, I couldn’t stop eating it! A visit here is a MUST while visiting Achill! We are already planning another holiday on the island so that we can visit the Vally House again!

Good food and vegetarian / vegan /gluten free options. Friendly and helpful staff. Went for a pint in the bar after too. Looking forward to going back when there's a trad session on in the bar.
