The Venue in Strandhill

You can eat anything here: burgers, seafood, lamb, or steak. We were very satisfied. Plus, there's a great view. We were here on a Tuesday, and there were plenty of free seats.

Having dined here previously we returned because it was excellent the last time but unfortunately not the same this time. The restaurant was busy so we were happy to eat in the outside area which was perfect apart from the table not been that clean. Our starters arrived except for one which we had to ask them where it was. It was a seafood chowder so there was no real excuse for this. Our main courses arrived eventually, mine was cold and had to be returned and my daughters wraps came with ours but we had to ask for the beef taco as there was no sign of it to come. When it arrived a very nice and hardworking waiter apologised as someone else was supposed to have brought it out. We ordered some extra drinks and had to ask a second time for them. We had no issues sitting in the outside area but it felt like second class service out there. We were very disappointed with this visit compared to the last time we were there.

The Venue is My favourite restaurant in Sligo. Great variety of food, friendly staff, beautiful sea view and really great food. Thanyou

The music was a bit loud but the food was great

Myself and my husband had dinner here last weekend and were really looking forward to our dinner.Unfortunately we were both left a little disappointed.the food was just ok,the prawns pil pil were over cooked and had been sitting for a bit before they were served.the steak was just ok and not worth the money.our server was very nice and chatty.overall not great.

Very good restaurant despite poor value for money. Do not get the salmon platter (whether as a starter or main course): they put 4 slices of supermarket smoked salmon and a ton of salad. It's definitely not worth the price. However, I recommend the Irish beef, which was succulent.

Incredible view and the mussels are simply delicious.

Excellent service!!! Sadly...the food was average.... But the view and the waitress experienced behaviour made it a very pleasent experience, Well done girls!!!

The food, penne pasta and caesar salad, was wonderful. The wait staff, in trying to be efficient, gives a vibe that you should hurry up and eat! They do take reservations, and that is advisable, as there are limited restaurants in Strandhill. The back room and patio have a grand view of the water. Would definitely recommend dining here.

We go to this place anytime we are near Sligo, staff always super friendly and food always great- Always get the same- chicken wings and Chicken fajitas. Other items on menu look good but never tried them due to these being so good
