We received a top recommendation from our landlady. On our first evening, we had a table in the middle of the dining room. The food was so good that we made a reservation again for our second evening. We received a very friendly welcome and even got a window seat with a fantastic view. The pasta I had was excellent, and the steak was cooked to perfection. A truly lovely restaurant.

Stayed in the hotel next door, so perfect location. Food and Service were fabulous and I will definitely go back when in Strandhill - the bars is perfect for a drink before or after (or both)!

I stayed at the hotel right next door, so I went there for dinner with my colleague. We had the chicken wings (1 kg) and a fish dish, both to share. Both were very tasty and plentiful. The Guinness was excellent. The service was good, but could have been a bit more attentive. Since there was a birthday party with lots of children that evening, it was quite noisy. I'd gladly come back again if I'm ever in Sligo.

A wonderful place with beautiful view of the ocean. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

I would like to say what a wonderful evening we had in the venue, our meal was delicious and more importantly our service by your lovely staff was so enjoyable, I think his name was Ben !!! 18/05/2026: I brought a group of 15 women from Canada, and we had such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was warm and welcoming, and our whole group had such a great time together. And the fire was absolute perfection, especially after a cold hike up Knocknarea. 🔥 Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, we will definitely be back! ❤️

07/06/2026: Shells Cafe is an absolute gem on Strandhill beach. It’s facing the ocean. Food is amazing and super tasty. Very very busy place so be ready for the queue. Again it’s busy for a reason. It does kill the atmosphere sometime when you see crying kids and people on top of each other. lol. Everything they serve is outstanding tho so it’s worth it. They are very famous for their TREACLE Bread, always get sold within 1 hour😁 I even ask for their bread recipe and they did give it to me 😂 Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.
