The Venue in Strandhill

I stayed at the hotel right next door, so I went there for dinner with my colleague. We had the chicken wings (1 kg) and a fish dish, both to share. Both were very tasty and plentiful. The Guinness was excellent. The service was good, but could have been a bit more attentive. Since there was a birthday party with lots of children that evening, it was quite noisy. I'd gladly come back again if I'm ever in Sligo.

Good place. Good food. Had fish and chips. Chairs aren't great. Not very comfotable. Staff are nice.

A wonderful place with beautiful view of the ocean. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The service was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

I would like to say what a wonderful evening we had in the venue, our meal was delicious and more importantly our service by your lovely staff was so enjoyable, I think his name was Ben !!! I was told—firmly—that you have to eat seafood chowder when you come to Ireland. Fair enough. I just didn’t expect it to come with a view like this. The chowder was rich without being heavy, the seafood unmistakably fresh. The Guinness was smooth, properly poured, exactly what you want in your hand while you stop pretending you’re in a hurry. And then there’s the view. The kind that makes you forget about the food for a moment, which is saying something. One of those rare meals where the setting pulls equal weight with what’s on the table. If this is a requirement of visiting Ireland, I’m happy to comply.
