Party of 6 had a wonderful meal, gorgeous food, very generous portions & deserts were amazing, lovely Christmas atmosphere and very friendly staff. Highly recommend 👌

This place is so cool. A buzz about the place that is rare. Food spoke for itself. Starter Nachos Mex authentic Adictive taste Main course Duck was sublime Desert was enough to convert religion (Baked Alaska) That was like the 51st State. Daniel is a hospitality professional, his in-depth knowledge of the food, matched with his keen ear for the customer's needs are uncanny. All the staff are so welcoming.

Duck gyros were lovely as starter Chicken wings starter big portion with a sweet taste Steak sandwich for main was cooked to perfection - steak just pulled apart and the ciabatta was crispy Steak with chips for main was also perfectly cooked Snickers cheesecake was unique Baked Alaska was perfectly done with ice cream and tangy fruit in the centre Wait staff were friendly especially the man who waited our table Would recommend

Came to clonakilty camping and ate out twice before we discovered Whales Tail OMG it’s worth travelling here just to eat the food the other time atmosphere the setting indoors and outside is just amazing Irene was in total control and with such a pleasant attitude to customers and staff ensuring both guests and staff enjoyed being there Billy in the kitchen ensured exceptional service and an interesting menu full of variations for us to enjoy We came once and returned the following night before we went home we can’t recommend enough if you’re in Clonakilty don’t miss out on a wonderful experience

Delicious food, generous portions, friendly staff and nice atmosphere

Delicious dining experience! Firstly the venue had a great buzzing atmosphere especially for a Wednesday night. It looked great. We had some great drinks. Now the star of the show, the food … fabulous tastes and flavour. Spicy Sushi and a lovely chicken and potato main which also had a great source. If you’re passing by, you have to eat there !!

The Whales Tail Restaurant is exceptional. We have dined there on several occasions & it never disappoints. The food is excellent- have tried most dishes on the menu & have enjoyed everything. The attention to detail & combination of flavours is amazing. All staff are friendly & accommodating. 5 stars always

Good food, good service. Had seafood platter, would have liked more hot cooked seafood instead of the cold crab meat, smoked salmon and prawn cocktail and sushi but it was still good.

This place was great in every way!!
