Dropped in this morning at opening for teas and scones. Clean, modern decor with warm, personable and instantaneous service. Brilliant procession of baked goods from the kitchen, including perhaps the best scone of my 64 years to date! Great for families, very children-friendly.

We have travelled through Europe, UK and across Ireland for the past two months to find this Wholey holy grail of coffee! Full bodied bean, not scorching hot, perfect crema and real chocolate (on the cappuccino). The only disappointment was not being able to enjoy the surrounds as had to hit the road but thank you Wholey for the morning boost!

Jacob's Ladder Restaurant

03/11/2025: My family booked a birthday dinner for me at Jacob’s Ladder, and it turned out to be a lovely evening. The view by the water is absolutely beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. My daughter arranged a surprise dessert for me, and the restaurant served it with a candle to blow out ,a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture! The food was delicious overall, though my husband found the chicken supreme a bit awkward to eat, as it was served in a deep bowl rather than a plate. A flatter dish would have made it easier to cut. Despite that, everything else was wonderful: great atmosphere, tasty food, and a lovely place to celebrate special moments.
