I wanted to treat myself with a dry age special cut, which was very expensive but the description was promising. A 30 day dry aged meat has a very peculiar taste but it come covered with garlic. I was very clear that I wanted a plain steak, with no garnish, only with salt and paper. As it happens with all things cooked with garlic, the garlic was so prominent that could only taste it!!!. if I had chosen any cheaper beef the taste would have been the same! While this primary mistake could be okay (it happens after all), the problem came when I told the manager that the chef should avoid that. The manager said that it was impossible, that there was no garlic in the kitchen, insisting I was wrong (and therefore crazy!). This was so disappointing. Instead of accepting what I said, the manager decided to gaslight me. I also ordered a very rare meat and they brought it medium-medium rare. I spent lots of money in a very amateur meal. On a positive note, the atmosphere was super nice and the guy who served me was very friendly too. The steak was not bad, but it is not worth the price for the special cut.

In for an early dinner on a Sunday after a drive from Dublin. Absolutely hit the spot! Steak cooked perfectly. Exactly dosed and the Swiss roll pudding was great. They also gave me ice for my twisted ankle so I could head I to town for the evening in slightly less pain!

Visited the restaurant at the weekend. Was so impressed with the food and service, we went back. Both times the food was great and the staff were lovely. Thank you Gaby for making us feel so welcome. The restaurant itself is lovely and the booths were very roomy for two people. Enjoyed the whole experience, excellent.

Maravillosa comida y una buena elección en el menú la joven que nos sirvió era muy encantador y amable y nos hizo sentir tan bienvenidos estaría feliz de recomendar el único problema que tuvimos fue que yo no era un fan del queso de coliflor, era un poco crudo todavía y necesitaba una mejor cobertura de queso, pero aparte de que la comida era maravilloso y. El gran servicio que tuvimos de la persona que nos recibió en la puerta a quien era nuestra camarera fue maravilloso.

We are steak lovers and have paid high prices and eaten incredible steaks all over the UK but the food here was incredible! My husband had the T bone which he said was stunning and I had the fillet which was incredible. The sauces (red wine and peppercorn) were beautiful but the winner of the dish was the cauliflower cheese which was INSANE! The service was also second to none. Alex looked after us, Brian was an incredible manager but Gabi…just wow!!! She the epitome of excellent customer service and she was one of the reasons why we booked an evening meal after popping in for lunch. She made us feel like family. I have eaten at some incredible restaurants including the Ivy, London and I have to say this has been one of the best dining experiences of my life. If you’re coming to Cork, please visit !
