Thrive Coffee in Cork

Thrive used to be my go to spot, such a handy stop with the drive through in a prime location. It was always super consistent, and a bonus that they served Stone Valley Coffee. Over time though, I found consistency dropped during busy periods, with quality feeling a bit rushed and more focused on quantity over care. I have also had a few experiences where walk ins seemed to be overlooked in favour of drive through orders. I understand the pressure of a busy setup like that, but consistency and quality should always come first. I’ve stopped coming as a result, which is a pity as it has a lot of potential. With a bit more consistency, I think the quality alone would keep people coming back.

The staff here are lovely and the coffee is great. Brilliant set up with it formally being a petrol station it was a great way to reform the building into a drive thru coffee set up. You can walk in if you don't want to sit in the line and again staff are very friendly very welcoming.

Really good coffee - Stone Valley topped with O Conaill’s chocolate. Açai bowl was yum - crunch granola, fresh fruit and crunchy peanut butter. Will definitely be back.

Love it and have been going from start but lately I feel the taste is different maybe not frothed enough

I used to love coming here for the matchas and iced coffees they were always top-notch. I hesitated to write this because it used to be so good, but over the past two months the quality has really gone downhill. Every single time I’ve ordered recently (approx 5-6 times) both the iced coffee and matcha have been poorly made and seem rushed. The matcha barely tastes like matcha at all it mostly tastes like milk and is almost white in colour. The iced coffees are the same, with just a hint of coffee. It’s really disappointing because the staff are lovely, but unfortunately the drinks just aren’t what they used to be. I’m posting this in hopes that action will be taken to better the quality of the drinks again as I would love to keep giving business but as of now I will have to take it elsewhere.
