Top class food. Lots of flavour. Highly recommend it. Would definitely visit again if I am in the area.

Spectacular. Professional but still incredibly relaxed and friendly staff. We had a large table 6 of us but the service was still prompt. Most importantly, the food was incredible

We recently had a meal at Thyme and it was honestly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The food was absolutely outstanding – every course was beautifully presented and full of flavour, and it is without doubt one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff were amazing from start to finish – friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. They made the whole evening feel like a real experience rather than just a meal. When we first arrived, we did wonder if it might be a little expensive, with the tasting menu costing either €50 or €75 per person, plus wine on top. However, having experienced the food, service and atmosphere, it was well, well worth it and represented excellent value for such a high-quality experience. If I had one small suggestion for improvement, it would be the addition of baby-changing facilities. We had our baby with us and I had to leave and change him on the toilet floor, as there was no changing table available. Aside from that, everything else was exceptional. Overall, the staff were absolutely brilliant, the food was unbelievable, and we would highly recommend Thyme to anyone looking for a special dining experience in Athlone.

An amazing experience at Thyme! We celebrated our anniversary and had an amazing experience with food, customer service and all details. The July menu was outstanding, every dish was full of flavour, and the cocktails and wine selection were excellent. The blue tuna entrée was amazing, the Mackerel starter, the lamb main dish and the white chocolate bavarois were exceptionals. The service was great, extremely friendly and helpful staff and we had a wonderful evening from start to finish. Highly recommend for special occasions or to bring visitors over for a nice experience right in the midlands.

Amazing food, expensive but well worth it.

Fantastic food. 6 friends dining. Not one complaint from the group. Service, food , setting all very good. Very good value. Will be back again.

Very impressed. One of the nicest meals I’ve had this year. Not unreasonably priced for what it is.

We tried Thyme because of its Michelin Bib Gourmand, and I have to say the designation is extremely well deserved. Incredible food and service of great fine dining quality at a really reasonable price. Refined but not stuffy. Highly recommend!
