A cozy fire, delicious food, and super-friendly service! What more could you want? Oh yes – lovely people who take good care of the valuables you've accidentally left behind! A huge thank you to the whole team!

Very friendly and welcoming owners. We were allowed to sleep in the parking lot with our RV. Unfortunately, the food wasn't particularly good. I would have given them 5 stars for their friendliness.

Great gem at the heart of Carna, food is like home cooked and fresh food from home. Simple dishes with hearty taste. The owners husband on the ball with the service and even was kind enough to find my lost wallet and return it to me through some investigation! Thank you forever grateful.

Seafood chowder and fresh fish &chips nothing too fancy but nice atmosphere. Fresh crab salad was delicious.

We stopped in on our campervan tour of Western Ireland. Friendly locals, lovely bar staff (especially Barbara) Good food at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit

Let’s start with the fact that this is a stunning area with a small friendly community. That it can sustain a pub that turns out great home cooked food is fantastic. The staff are welcoming, engaging and friendly and we had some great conversation. If you are expecting or wanting something fancy then head to a bigger town. We have been lucky to eat in many nice places but I have rarely felt so relaxed in somewhere new that I don’t know. We went two nights in a row and on the first night I missed the bacon and cabbage on the specials board. The manager was amazing and held me a plate over for the following night and it was worth it. The seafood chowder starter and Apple Pie dessert were also great. They do live music occasionally so worth watching out as I am sure it makes for a great night. We will be coming back to Carna and returning to the Tigh Mheaic when we do.

We discovered Tigh Mheaic on our recent family holiday in Connemara. A gem of a spot right in the Carna Gaeltacht serving honest good food with lovely service. Highly recommend the fish and chips! Compliments to the chef and management. A joy to support a local business that is clearly a big part of the community as well as hearing the locals speaking Irish. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Lovely time. Great food and atmosphere. Staff are excellent, they treat you like family. Top notch service and wonderful entertainment !! And the locals are warm and welcoming!! Can’t wait to come back!! ❤️
