Tom McCarthy's Bar in Castleisland

…And then, randomly staying overnight in Castle Island, you end up in a pub where they treat you like one of them, not just a tourist. Tom was ADORABLE! He single-handedly served everyone in no time, giving everyone the attention they deserved (we were touched to see him even stop to bring a dog a bowl of water). Dear Tom, know that you were one of the most genuine and cordial moments of our holiday in Ireland. If everyone were like you, the world would be a better place.

Away for a few days in Castleisland in Kerry. Dropped into McCarthy's for a pint. Great atmosphere everyone was friendly and welcoming. The decor was tastefully done and the staff were very friendly and the service was spot on. The pint of Guinness was perfect and we had a fantastic night, was so good we went again the following night 🥰. I will definitely get back again at some point I would highly recommend dropping in, well run, great service, great atmosphere and fantastic pint 🥰🥰

Tremendous spot for a Guinness. Great atmosphere, and absolutely spotless. A couple of screens showing the horse racing as well, if that's your cup of tea
