TRADE Coffee in Waterford

Great spot to stop for coffee while wandering around Waterford. Their flat white was really good, the best we’ve had so far on our trip around Ireland 🌟

I was in Waterford on my way to Dunmore East for the weekend and, having had a pint at lunch and knowing we'd have a stop at Big Tesco on the way there, I swung in here to see if I could use the toilet. Being told it is for customers only is something that has genuinely never happened to me before. It's a bit miserable, to be honest. There's places in north Dublin with blue lights in the toilet as an anti-junkie prevention measure that don't do that. But needs must and I bought an espresso - I was a bit tired anyway so sure, I'll pay €3 for a wee and get a coffee too. I was frankly raging about this as you'd imagine, so I actually was almost hoping for an average to poor coffee, and let me tell you my rage increased to apoplectic levels when I drank it and it was the best espresso I've ever had in my life. It was silky and balanced and chocolatey and I could still taste it 20 minutes later. It was transcendent. It was such an enjoyable coffee I can't bring myself to knock a star off the review for not letting me use the jacks. That's how good it was.

Best trade I've gotten myself into

Best coffee in town by a country mile! Nice outdoor seating area, weather permitting. The lads always have a few words and are very helpful/knowledgeable you want want to buy a bag of beans. My favourite coffee house.
