Trattoria Magnetti in Galway

I just enjoyed an incredible dinner at Magnettis! I ordered the Diavola, and it was exceptional—the fresh ingredients truly showcased the care put into each dish. Our host, Karina, created a warm and inviting atmosphere with her friendly demeanor and great sense of humor. I wholeheartedly recommend Magnettis to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in Galway! 5 out of 5 stars!

We had a great experience! Loved the pasta mista and the great service from Valentina. Even it was a very busy day as only 2 waiters were working, Valentina managed the stress around with a smile on her face and my husband and me had a great warm main as well as the apple strudel. Claps to the chef! Lovely lunch time. We will definitely repeat.

We had a very delicious lunch here yesterday, in late October. Understandably, it was not busy (one other couple) so I marked it down slightly on atmosphere, though this is possibly unfair! However, the food was outstanding! I had a Penne Puttanesca which was perfect, al dente pasta, and a strongly flavoured tomato sauce with all the additional flavours of olive and capers coming through. My husband had the carbonara with salmon and he was equally impressed. Washed down with a Birra Moretti and a glass of Chianti, it was the perfect lunch. I’m just sorry we didn’t stay for dessert, coffee and another drink, but maybe next time!

Shared a calzone and a Diavola with my friends yesterday evening. The meal was delicious. The staff were really accommodating and helpful. The location of this restaurant really lends to the ambiance that they have cultivated. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and was even greeted by the chef who made the exquisite food in front of us. I’ll be back soon. Thanks guys

We ordered meat ravioli and pizzas, all very good. €100 approx. 5 people. The service was very attentive and the restaurant was very cozy despite the noise from the other tables.

Excellent Italian dishes with really good service. The patio was great for soaking up the Latin Quarter vibes and music from Quay Bar across the way.

Great lunch spot. Good size portions. We were in a hurry and they accommodated us well.

Reviewing for salthill. The food was ok. I had been here previously with work colleagues and came back with my son as a treat, the food was better last visit over a year ago. I ordered lasagne they had run out so ended up with carbonara. Son had soup. We also had garlic bread. The food was ok a bit bland. The bathrooms were disgusting last Sunday. There was a smell in corridor on way to them and inside floor was flooded. The stall itself was not cleaned. My coffee was ok and cup my son got for his tea was tiny and impossible to hold. The only saving grace was the trad music and the view of the sea. Maybe last Sunday was an off day as I mentioned last time food was a lot better and bathrooms were clean.

Booked a table here for a Sunday evening with kids. They really enjoyed their food. I had mushroom risotto was delicious. Kids had carbonara and Margretta pizza.
