A great hotel undergoing a remodel. The beds are superbly comfortable, as are the pillows. Guest has access to a leisure club facility. Cons: We could not get our shower to turn warm. Luckily, there was a bath option. To use the pool, guests are required to buy a swim cap for €4 each, and children are not permitted after 7 p.m. Overall, I would book again.

They are going through renovations, so give them the benefit. Saying that, they have the friendliest staff going. Loads of space in the rooms. Great value. Bar food was fantastic. Pool was basic, but spot on for my family. Decent distance from town. We look forward to returning when the works are complete.

Arrived for a brief break with the family service was great food was good. Leisure facilities were great also. Heard lots bad things prior but have to say all and all was a good experience. Place is under renovation but didn't affect our stay. Only negative was watching the older lady on reception picking sausages out of the breakfast buffet with her fingers and eating them over the buffet.

A little slice of paradise on a cold winters day at the Twin Trees Leisure Club. My husband and 2 children (age 8 and 9) enjoyed a swim at this gem of a pool. The pool water was gorgeously warm, the hot tub was delightfully hot hot hot and the sauna just cosy. We were able to take turns while one of us watched the kids. It was surprisingly quiet for the school holidays, we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves for the first half hour mid afternoon. I couldnt fault the place, the staff super friendly and though dated it was spotlessly clean and changing rooms warm with powerful hot showers. Absolutely coming back to make this Leisure Centre as part of our weekend fun. Could truley relax after a busy Christmas and New Year Celebrations.

After finding the place the initial impressions were alright, good enough for a stopover at the price i paid. The garden needs a bit of a tidy. But overall the hotel looks OK. Got greeted by a lovely receptionist, check in was easy. The place was quite quiet so I had reception yo myself. Unfortunately there are some protesters at the gate as (like many hotels) they had taken in some refugees recently and some of the locals weren't happy with this... I wasn't too bothered about this as they seemed to keep themselves to themselves, and the refugees had their own section of the hotel (them being there didn't bother me either). Went to the bar for some food, again i had the place to myself, lovely food and a nice irish lager. Used the pool facilities. Like the hotel it was OK, if in need of a tidy outside, great jacuzzi and steam room though! Room was good, bed a bit soft of one side, but I slept really well! Plenty hot water and good water pressure. In the morning i at breakfast i had the dining hall to myself, I ordered a full irish breakfast, but couldn't eat it all, so I got a "top up" put into a takaway box and took it with me on my co. mayo adventure. Over all it was an alright place to stay. Just needs a bit of a tidy to get it back to it's hey day!

Jimmys Drive Thru

04/04/2025: It’s our go to place when we return to Ireland, we land into Knock and once we hit Ballina it’s straight to jimmy’s for a coffee. The staff are fab, coffee is always great. The donuts are a “10/10” according to our young son. The bakery looks incredible and they’re usually sold out by the afternoon. Also family run and home grown - what’s not to love?!
21/03/2025: Not sure about the rest of those reviews but myself and my partner(both serious coffee addicts!) just had 2 of the best coffees of our lives from here. The sausage rolls (one vegetarian and one regular) were savage too! Definitely worth a visit!
