Went for carvery Sunday dinner, between us we had roast beef or roast lamb, which was cook perfectly, plenty of veg with it. Deserts a little on small side bust taste was good. Will go back

New layout is fabulous, loads of spaces to gather with friends. Had lunch there, chef wasn't that friendly and food was mediocre. Wasn't impressed that a half portion was only €2 cheaper than a full portion. Would go back for drinks.

The new atmosphere absolutely fantastic, we used to wait for drinks before but seems the bar is so quick now , on a bank holiday Sunday got drinks in 2 minutes which is great , So well done great job.

20/07/2025: I had been looking forward to dining at Mara for the longest time - and it did not disappoint. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top class. Luis and his team are nothing short of phenomenal. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and passion for what they do shine through in every aspect of the evening. The highlight? The Basque cheesecake. It was out of this world - easily one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Everything about the meal was memorable, from the beautifully crafted dishes to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. If you're in Waterford, Mara is an absolute must-visit. You won’t regret it.
05/07/2025: Fabulous Dining experience , we had the taster menu and wines to match. It was an outstanding night. the attention to detail and the engagement from the owner and chef was amazing .... would highly recommend.

Viking Hotel Waterford

04/09/2025: I stayed there for 1 night. There was a great atmosphere. The staff we're courtious and efficient. Had a great breakfast.
02/08/2025: Nice hotel, great value for money. A bit far out of town, ok if you are passing through, not a location if you want to explore the city on foot.
