Toddies at The Bulman

02/10/2023: Best fish and chips in the country, great service and Beamish to die for.
02/10/2023: Don't let the high reviews fool you. The Bulman Bar is nothing short of a gotcha tourist attraction. From the overpriced drinks and food, the Bulman Bar offers nothing more than bland "fresh frozen" food. Imagine going to a highly rated sea food restaurant by the coast and being told they have run out of mussels / oysters. And finally, imagine paying 30 euros for a "special" dish that you get 8 fresh frozen pieces of prawn in. Ultimately, it is your choice to try thus place but I am 100% sure anything with a lower review will be better than the Bulman Bar. Edit: Following on from the managements reply I would like to further expand on my review - First and foremost, albeit my name is foreign I grew up in Ireland so I am more Irish than you might think. You should never assume otherwise, especially based on someone's name; this is the 21st century, please educate yourself Bulman representative. Indeed due to inflation prices have increased, however, if you're asking someone to pay €30+ for a dish, you best bet they expect more than a few unseasoned, frozen deep fat fried pieces of battered sampi. If your mantra is of excellency, I would work on it because that certainly wasn't the case. And finally to correct you. We were extremely happy to wait for a table to come available and we were NOT displeased with the table we got. What I was displeased with was the long wait before ordering, the lipstick stained glasses, the flavorless overpriced food that was served and finally, the servers attitude when asked about splitting the bill since we were dining with friend who wanted to pay separately. So, for my next visit to Kinsale during the weekend since I live in Ireland, I will not be returning to your tourist trap of a restaurant.
