I always get excellent food here. Pictured is a delicious fish and avocado don from a recent visit.

As a big sushi lover, I attach particular importance to fresh fish and authentic preparation, which is why I was really looking forward to my visit to WA SUSHI. The small restaurant offers space for around ten guests and is decorated in a traditional Japanese style - simple but atmospheric.
To start we ordered a bowl version of miso soup for €8.20. Unfortunately, it didn't suit our taste at all: the soup was watery and lacked any seasoning, which was disappointing.
Then came the most exciting part of our visit: the chef's selection - a nigiri platter with 10 pieces for €31.50. The price is high, but after the first bite we realized why. The fish was incredibly fresh, like it had just come from the sea. An absolute delight and definitely the highlight of our meal!
We also tried a maki roll with teriyaki chicken for €6.90. Unfortunately, this dish couldn't keep up. The taste was rather average and not particularly impressive. The soy sauce was also unspectacular, but the wasabi impressed with a pleasant and fresh spiciness.
A small point of criticism concerns the waitress, who was not Japanese. In a Japanese restaurant you might expect a little more authenticity in the service, although the friendliness of the service was not objectionable.
Overall I give WA SUSHI 4 out of 5 stars. Despite small weaknesses in the service and individual dishes, the incredibly fresh fish was convincing. I'll definitely come back to enjoy this quality again!

Nice place for a quick bite, had the ramen and sushi, Both were nice, the sushi was fine (blue fin tuna seared and raw) but not amazing, ramen broth was really nice and the slices of pork were tasty, but the highlight of the meal was the Genmaicha tea served in a beautiful tea pot with lovely cups

The ramen at Wa is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and the best I’ve had in Ireland. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back!

November is the ramen month. Tried the ramen there. Honestly very much below expectation. The soup is too salty.

Sushi was delicious with very limited choice. extremely overpriced. Miso was bland and agadashi tofu tough.

Delicious and very authentic sushi, just like being in Japan! We had the tasting menu which was spectacularly good, made even better by the wonderful service. The owner was even kind enough to hold our baby for us so we could eat! 🥰 We will be back!

Love this little cafe. The food is excellent every time, the staff are exceptionally knowledgeable (especially when it comes to Sake) and also very lovely. Can't wait to go back.
