Walsh's Bakery Clifden in Clifden

I cannot fault their bakery, their produce looks fantastic and lots of local jams and other produce. Only reason for 3 stars. Cannot fault their service either. But I had their full Irish (menu has it as something different), I think I paid €13, including tea. Considering the price, the portion size was absolutely tiny. They were so stingy that the black and white pudding was cut in half, in a semi circle rather than the full portion. The sausages were tiny. If it was €7/€8 I wouldn’t mind, but for €13, I think it’s steep. Especially for the area, you’re not in the city.

Absolutely delicious! Quality snacks and bakery. Very good value for money. Cozy atmosphere, with a superb view of the bay.

We popped in for a bit of lunch, during a rainy day visit to Clifden. The bakery was warm and welcoming , with a huge array of sweet and savoury treats to choose from. We enjoyed a tasty steak and kidney pie. Definitely recommend.
