Westgate Design in Wexford

Hands down the best pastry in town. Fresh and proper. Walked all town to find a good pastry and found it here. Got a cinnamon twist and a chocolate croissant, very delicious, fresh, and crunchy. And got a coconut latte. Would definitely recommend. €8 for latte and croissant. Unfortunately they close on Sundays which is a real bummer

I’ve been going to Westgate Design(Cafe 22 and Lane Cafe) for around 7 years now and it’s still one of my favourite spots in Wexford. They have my favourite coffee in town, and the food is always delicious whether I’m sitting in or getting something to take away. There’s always something lovely to choose from, whether it’s a meal, a salad, their overnight oats, packaged paninis, sweet treats, or pastries. Everything I’ve had over the years has been consistently delicious. It is slightly on the pricey side, so I’m very glad they have a loyalty card for the coffee! But for the quality, atmosphere, and consistency, it’s somewhere I’m always happy to return to. The staff are always super friendly and helpful too, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. It’s also been a lovely place to meet friends, catch up over coffee, or even co-work for a couple of hours. It has such a welcoming atmosphere, and I always enjoy visiting. I’ve gathered so many photos of their food and drinks over the years, which says it all really. A real Wexford gem and somewhere I’m always happy to recommend.

We used them for catering and staffing for my wedding at Wilton Castle. The catering was absolutely spectacular. The quality of the food and the level of service were both impeccable. The team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect and were incredibly accommodating, even with a set menu. One moment that perfectly captured their thoughtfulness occurred when I casually mentioned during one of the meals that I had never tried beans on toast. The next day, they surprised me with a can so I could experience this classic dish for myself. It was such a small gesture, but it spoke volumes about the care and attentiveness they showed throughout our stay. As you can tell, everything exceeded our expectations. Their hospitality, flexibility, and genuine desire to make our experience special truly set them apart. I could not recommend them enough!

A wide selection of meals, freshly prepared and well-served. Plenty of small seating areas. Newspapers and magazines to read. Great gifts to buy, good quality and selection.

I am still getting messages about the incredible catering from Westgate! We recently hosted an event in the area and Westgate came highly recommended. We brought home some catering and had them host a barbecue the second day. Darron was so helpful, providing menus and suggested changes to match the theme. Their staff, Anne, Stephen and Patrick, were an absolute credit -- so organized and thought of everything I had forgotten. I wish we had taken more photos, the lasagne and Caesar Salad were definite favorites. The Barbecue had a wide selection of filet steaks, chicken on skewers, grilled salmon and shrimp. Their veggie options were flavorful and so creative. The salads were incredibly tasty - a real feast! Thank you guys again for all your help, it really made our weekend that much more special!! Almost forgot to mention the pastries and coffee we got when we were in store. The pastry selection is beautiful, so many creative combos!

Discovering this place was so unexpected. We ate incredibly well. And the portions were huge!

Excellent food experience, all home cooked, salads, mains and beautiful cakes

Note to management: Please get someone to train your employees on how to use the coffee machines and calibrate them properly. The way they prepare espressos are at too high a temperature (maybe pressure/time too) and undrinkable. Most customers probably don't notice this as they order coffee that's diluted with milk and masked with sugar. Despite that, great establishment - literally the only place in Wexford where you can find a decent croissant and I keep returning because of the pastries. The cinnamon rolls and twists are top notch, too. Bring the coffee up to the same par and you have a 5-star establishment.

I hired Westgate Design to cater in three days of breakfast at Wilton Castle and they did not disappoint. All the offerings were fresh, beautiful and thoughtfully put together.
