Perfect coffee or lunch venue based at Weston Airport on the western fringes of Dublin city. The slight detour off the M4 at Lucan leads to a substantial and convenient car park. The restaurant is upstairs at the terminal building with unobstructed views over the runways and south Dublin. Dine in luxury whilst the children and aviation enthusiasts enjoy the action outside. An extensive menu provides a treat for the diner. A quick coffee and scone is also available at the often busy coffee dock on the ground floor.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The view is wonderful of the runway out of the large windows. The portion sizes were generous but the food lacked in the flavour department.

Nice food but the prices are a little too high for the quality of food Waiters and Waitresses are very friendly who from experience have never given me and issue or forgotten an order Atmosphere is lovely from the inside with nice LED lights on the ceiling and nice comfortable furniture but the real kicker is the runway where you can see the student pilots and if you are lucky a different plane landing and taking off.

Came for a breakfast mid week and this was maybe our 5th visit as we are local but we won't be back - can't justify the prices! May as well be in city centre Dublin. €20 for ONE slice of bread with avocado and two overdone poached eggs and the smallest portion of rosemary potato's which were €5 to add on - potato's were dry, hard and definitely not freshly made. Coffee was decent and service was good but prices are not good value and there are better options elsewhere.

The place is lovely, it's modern but has character. They have a new menu since the last time we were here and it's sooo much better. Service was great too. Even got to see some planes taking off and the search and rescue team going out in the helicopter. Bit pricey for what it is - €50 for two cokes, an open halloumi sandwich, chicken and waffle, plus kids chicken and chips.

Nice, good food, well priced: pleasantly surprised by the whole experience really. Worth the trip “out of the way”.

Had a late lunch here couple of weeks ago with a friend and our toddlers in tow. The cafe provided lovely views all round as we were able to get a window seat. Service was lovely and prompt but food was not great, for the amount we paid I expected better quality. All in all it was a nice experience because of the view but I probably won't be back.

Maguires Cafe

13/09/2025: I got a sausage roll which was nice. My partner got a waffle with banana , and a tiny Dribble of Nutella. The waffle was stone cold so exchange it for a apple crumble, which was ok. Had to go back and ask for a refund. We also witnessed one member of staff handling food with there Bare hands while using the cash register and making coffees , so that was a Red flag. Staff are lovely Though.
01/09/2025: Super cozy, I discovered it while waiting for the bank to open. I need to comeback with the wife. Lovely shop and a very friendly girl served my tea.

Paddy's Bar and Restaurant

27/12/2024: I've been putting off writing this review because the prospect of saying everything that needs to be said is daunting. Maybe impossible. And also because I nominated them for a wedding venue award, which took awhile. My wife and I had our wedding and reception here in October for about 30 people. The atmosphere was perfect - cozy and intimate but not overcrowded or stuffy. It felt comfortable and homey but not cheap. A quintessential country pub, with all the tradition that carries. The food was incredible (spit-roasted local lamb over an open hearth turf fire, anyone?), the photographer was great, and the music (both live and DJ) was sincerely amazing. Everything was included in the wedding package, even two nights at a stunning cottage overlooking the lough. But Naoise, the coordinator, truly sent it over the top. She was constantly available, proactively engaged, and just went miles above and beyond to remove the stress of planning a wedding from overseas. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. They made us feel somehow simultaneously celebrated and part of the community. It was a perfect wedding. Absolutely perfect. If you're looking for a genuine human experience from an alternative microwedding venue that boasts waterfront dining in a rural Gaeltacht community, this is your spot. We laughed, we cried, we danced, and we cannot stop talking about it. It might not be my home, but it now occupies a suspiciously home-shaped place in my heart. Naoise, we'll be back!
