Yuan Ming Yuan in Cork

Food: Food was pretty decent. We had steamed prawn dumplings and they are absolutely authentic. I would have liked the size of the dumplings to be larger, but taste wise, they nailed it. We also ordered chicken in schezwan sauce and egg fried rice, it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this dish, it’ll give a nice taste to your palette. The hot and sour chicken soup was okay. Service: Whilst the food was great, we found however the service to be a bit slow. Ambience: Ambience is really good and gives out cozy yet authentic vibes. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience.

Had Christmas staff night meal in yuan ming yuan set menu good portions service great meals could be hotter ask and they will see to it staff asked each time was everything OK lovely ambiance will go back again not rushed out as late sitting 😀

Lovely Chinese restaurant, will definitely be going back. The duck especially was delicious.

I frequently visit this Restaurant when in Cork on business and they have fantastic fresh fish but this evening I ordered my usual Yuk Sung and it was terrible.it came out with broken prawn crackers instead of the glass nobodies it's usually served with. My complaint says not well received, only to be told that's how we do it now. A worrying trend in a Restaurant that was okay. €9.50 for this starter is expensive enough without having a bit of Mince and Broken Prawn Crackers served up like that.

Rarely ever visit Asian restaurants and for a person who is starting to explore their taste palette this is a very good restaurant. The staff are wholesome and very accommodating. The food is succulent and spicy. 100% recommend the Tsingtao beer 🐅 💯💯💯

We ordered a takeaway over the weekend. To be honest after reading a lot of the reviews my expectations were very high and sadly that was my mistake as we were left disappointed. We love trying different places where ever we go and in our experience this Chinese was average at best and overpriced. I guess they get away with it being in the city. There pork spring rolls I did not find nice at all. For two take out dishes with one rice and chip, potion of spring roll and prawn crackers it came to €44.80

It's a bit hard to find from the street, but inside is truly beautifully decorated. As the bathrooms are located upstairs, they're not accessible for people with mobility issues, but that's rather a moot point given stairs to get in. The portions are substantial and the staff don't rush you - a good place for lingering over you meal with friends.
