12/03/2024: Need to update the opening hours on the website as says its open Tuesdays and it not. Very disappointed to arrive and find it closed.

05/01/2024: Do not order for delivery. You will likely be waiting 2-3 hours for your order. We had to ring multiple times to get it delivered to the house.
27/12/2023: Have been a loyal customer for many years, used to have the best spice bags in the area however they’ve fallen off in the past year or two with the spice bags getting very dry and flavourless. I’ve been ordering the 4 in 1 ever since which has been a lifesaver on many occasions after a night out. Still one of the best 4 in 1s in the county. The spice bag however is what put them on the map for me and it’s not what it used to be. It must be said however that the staff are lovely and the menu is extensive.

09/03/2024: Avoid at all costs. After over one hour waiting on an order we decided to leave hungry. Many others were still there waiting for their food with no indication of when it might arrive. Honestly the strangest Chinese takeaway I have been to ever.
17/12/2023: A disaster...waited 2 hours for our order which they got wrong AGAIN ..won't see me outside the door in the rain 🌧 waiting like a fool again.

Took my employee to Hong Hop for his birthday..the service is so unprofessional..the food is over cooked..waited over hour and twenty minutes for main course..didn't arrive..so called buffet portions are a joke..paid outta courtesy..the whole experience went from hunger to frustration..
When I complained..that I paid €50 for 2 bite size starters and 3 drinks..their response was, they would give me 2 free drinks if I go back..
I would never step foot in the place..
The place smells,un hygienic and toilets are disgusting...people don't waist your money on a so called restaurant that cares more about ripping off customers.rather then making it a quality experience...
14/02/2024: Overall i’m unhappy. I had a few family over from england and they wanted to go out for a nice dinner and they chose hong hop.
The Waitress was pleasant and kind. Not so much with the waiter. The atmosphere is nice and calm but the food left one family member in hospital and another in bed sick. nobody enjoyed it and it does hurt your stomach the next day. unhappy.

15/12/2023: Tried the mid-day buffet for €12 per Person, a dozen or so different dishes (mostly varieties of chicken, one beef, no vegetarian), starters, sweets, ice cream. Nothing fancy, and maybe not totally "authentic" (i.e. spiced to suit Western palates), but quite competent and tasty. Only the "fried noodles" were a disappointment, soggy and drowning in soy sauce. So, good if you fancy a quick Asian, definitely filling. Would have liked to see the buffet dishes covered in some way, as a highly inconsiderate female guest kept coughing over everything, we were finished with the mains by that time, otherwise it would have put us off the food.
10/11/2023: The food was too salty, rubber chicken and overall bad quality . :( i will not order from here again .

18/12/2023: Extremely poor food, I’m shocked that any restaurant would serve it.
The spice bag consisted of chicken that was so hard I couldn’t even chew it, there were 4-5 of these tiny, thin pieces of dried chicken and the rest was chips that were not fresh and had barely any “seasoning” on them. The curry sauce was just disgusting. The food was so overpriced and all went straight in the bin. An absolute disgrace!

23/03/2024: Awesome Indian spicy chicken briyani in Dublin. Treat to find to find a good Indian food in Ireland. Will try more of their items in menu soon such as cauliflower chicken and tikka naan. Good news is they also have the Australian family owned “Bundaberg Ginger Beer”
28/02/2024: I have ordered few times via Deliveroo. The food is okay, but have to note the quality seems to have detoriated in the last six months or so. Have tried Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Butter Masala, Chicken Bombay Curry and Masala Fries. The Chicken Biriyani I ordered today was a wee bit disappointing tbh. Overall, their Butter Masala is good amongst the ones I have tried.
