16/07/2026: I am very disappointed with the service I received today. My wife ordered a Munchy Box from this takeaway. When we got home, I noticed it contained pork. This was an honest mistake on our side because my wife accidentally forgot to ask for no pork when placing the order. I called the shop politely, explained the situation, and asked if they could exchange it. Instead of showing any understanding or offering a goodwill gesture, the staff were very rude on the phone. They repeatedly told me it was "your fault" and refused to help. I fully accept that we forgot to mention "no pork." However, we have been regular customers for a long time and have spent a lot of money with this business over the years. I even told them that losing a loyal customer over a €14 meal was not worth it, but they simply didn't care. Good customer service is not just about who is technically right or wrong. It's about treating loyal customers with respect and showing a little flexibility when an honest mistake happens. A small gesture of goodwill could have kept a regular customer happy, but instead they chose to be Rude and dismissive. Because of this experience, I will not be ordering from this takeaway again, and I cannot recommend it to others. Many businesses value their customers and understand that kindness and good service are what build long-term relationships. ************ I am extremely disappointed with today's service. However, the staff showed no understanding or kindness whatsoever; instead, they were extremely rude on the phone, repeatedly saying, "It's your own fault," and refused to offer any assistance. I admit that forgetting to specify no pork was indeed our oversight. But we have been regular customers of this restaurant for many years. I also told them that losing a long-time customer for a mere 14 euros was not worth it. However, they seemed completely unconcerned. Excellent customer service isn't just about determining who's right and who's wrong; it's more about respecting customers and offering understanding and kindness when they make unintentional mistakes. A small act of kindness could have retained a loyal customer, but they chose indifference and rudeness instead. After this incident, I will never patronize this restaurant again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. I believe there are many businesses that truly value their customers and understand that good service and respect are key to winning long-term customers.

15/07/2026: Gave me food poisoning definitely stay away from there curry sauce had some mad reddish pink tint to it and I felt fine for 2 days and all of a sudden I’m sick I haven’t at any other foods so it was definitely this place

04/04/2026: This was the worst experience. We ordered shrimp noodles, but the shrimp were rubbery and the sauce tasted more like pure vinegar than anything else. We also ordered sweet and sour shrimp, but they served us sweet and sour chicken instead. The sauce was disgusting—just straight vinegar. I will never come back here; this place is absolutely terrible.

25/06/2026: Avoid this kip at all costs. Starter and two main courses 44 euro. No drinks. Didn’t dine in. This used to be one of my favourite places to get food from time to time, can safely say that I will never ever get food here again.

03/05/2026: I have bad experience yesterday I bought Thai red curry & red Tom kha gai soup & I could not tell difference between them. Thai red curry did not felt like curry & consistency was almost wali to soup. I most of the time eat here, but I was very disappointed with the curry standard. Hope you take this recommendation & improve the curry consistency.

01/03/2026: Their food is nice but unfortunately it took two full hours exactly for our order to arrive last night. Their phone was constantly engaged, when it did eventually arrive at 9.45 there wasn't even an apology. We order many takeaways from Kimmage and Terenure and unfortunately Mr Chen is the only place that we've ever had these disastrous delivery experiences. That was out last time ordering there.

13/05/2026: I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant today with my wife and 4-year-old son. We arrived around 4:30 PM and were told they would open in 5 minutes. We were happy to wait and returned 20 minutes later. After being seated and waiting another 10 minutes, we ordered two keema naan, a chicken saag, and a raita. We weren’t looking for a massive feast, just a pleasant family meal. A few minutes after taking the order, the waiter returned stating his manager insisted we order at least one more side dish or they would not serve us. When we explained we weren't hungry enough for more food, they flat-out refused to take our order. It is baffling that a business would turn away a family with a young child over a forced "minimum side dish" rule that was never mentioned upfront. To be treated this way after waiting patiently for them to open is completely unprofessional and unwelcoming. If you are looking for hospitality or a stress-free family dinner, I would suggest looking elsewhere in Tallaght.

14/05/2026: Generous portions, everything super hot and freshly cooked when we came to pick up. Ordered right before closing time too but they still made it work! Defo going back!
