Food tasted good, but attention and atmosphere was poor
27/03/2024: I recently visited this establishment, and unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with my experience.
The quality of the food was below average, and the taste was not up to any standard. Additionally, the quantity of the food did not justify the high prices.
Overall, my experience was highly unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

04/02/2024: Completely overpriced for the food that is being served. Most likely a great place for a takeaway after a few pints down the local. The food was ok and just ok. Sushi was NOT good. Won't be back for a sit down.

Second time, black bean sauce was packed in same plate with rice and delivered. It looked awful and nauseating as they were all mixed up when I got it. Ordered again and requested for it not to be put in same plate and still received same mixed packaging.
Never ordering again from here.

19/03/2024: Got the impression the ingredients were of high quality, but it was oversweet for our taste. There is no dine-in area, so atmosphere can't go above 4 but for a takeaway, it's pretty well decorated and the staff were friendly and pleasant. Would be tempted to try again and ask for the sweetness to be dialled down.
28/02/2024: The week that holes were punched in the spice box, and the chips were extra crunchy was the best, but 99% of the time it's excellent food.

This was literally not good. I took a duck menu that tasted as vinegar and old cooked duck… my wife chicken sate .. we could simply not eat it.. no salt, no smell just like an unfreezed chicken cooked in water.

Unfortunately I went here to eat today and ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, as I bit into the second one I realised it was a pork spring roll and not vegetarian. I have been vegetarian for years now so this was really upsetting and made me feel physically sick. Also the normal spring rolls are not labelled as being pork so this is NOT a halal safe option!!
01/03/2024: The most rude personal in Dublin. What is their business strategy 😅 The only thing that saves them from bankruptcy is the Cantonese Duck.

14/01/2024: Kubos closed towards the end of 2023 with zero notice to their loyal customers when they shut their doors - either in store, on social media, or online. They eventually put a sheet of A4 paper on their window to say that the establishment was undergoing refurbished and will be open again soon. Shocked to see its now gone and another generic taco chain has opened in its place. Horribly disappointing professionalism by the owner of Kubos on the run up to their exit from Douglas after all these years
