The best restaurants in Tullow

27/04/2025: Extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon. Possibly easier and less confusing to order with correct signage and more functional digital ordering stations. The stations (only one of 2 working) didn't seem to allow ordering pizza, queued for one ans had to queue again to order a pizza. Staff member Edison took our order and was extremely pleasant and helpful despite how busy the restaurant was. He rembered we had ordered when our order was ready and gave us our food with a smile, our food was perfect, we had ordered a pizza with special toppings and our order was perfect. Thanks Edison! Maybe could do with more seating, upstairs was locked as it was booked, it's a busy location.

22/03/2025: If I cud give zero stars I wud. Has to be the worst drive thru in the country. Food is never ready. Most of the time made to park up and wait. And then they still don't get the order right. 90% of the time there's something missing from the order. Today a chicken breast missing but charged for it. I've even been given someone else's order that I had to return cause they had given mine to someone else. Absolute joke. Today was the last straw. Will never get food from there again

01/05/2025: I originally had given this restaurant a 5 star review on the back of having been there a number of times. However, having recently returned, I found that this place has dropped a lot in quality and service. I believe it has changed hands/under new management and it would appear to have gone downhill since then. Such a pity, it was a great place to eat and family friendly.

11/04/2025: Unfortunately, food was just ok and that's me being "generous". Service felt like we were back in 90s. Atmosphere was like a nearly closing down place. Huge potential in the right hands,but definitely not into whomever runs it now. I'm not the person to complain and haven't said anything while settling the bill (which was 74 euro for 2 people and not even a "thank you" received). Won't be rushing again to eat here,for sure.

27/03/2025: Dining out in this country has become extremely expensive but luckily, The Derreen, Tullow Carlow is EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY. Home cooked food at an acceptable price.

19/02/2025: 1st time here food was lovely and staff friendly it was late in afternoon not many people there but no complaints at all

16/03/2025: Was looking forward to trying based on reviews and travelled nearly an hour but was extremely disappointed. Watery oily tasteless gravy. Meat was dry. Naan was from a packet and reheated in the microwave.

15/02/2025: Decided to give it a try after driving past it many times. Hate writing a bad review when restaurants are struggling, especially in provincial towns, away from big city centres, but this was one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. Tandoori Chicken starter was tasteless. Samosa was frozen. possibly from Aldi across the road. 2 main courses didn’t improve matters. Pilau rice was microwaved in a pouch. Cannot describe the prawn curry other than to say it came in a Pyrex bowl, and looked like it was four prawns with a jar of something thrown over it. No red wine, coke was flat. Place was freezing. Indian restaurants generally have managed to retain some degree of authenticity and craft when compared to their Chinese counterparts, but I am afraid New Moon is bucking that trend. Terrible experience.

05/05/2025: Not good, I ordered a chicken burger 3 different times said plain 2 times on the description. How did they come ? With everything on!!!! Not good

11/12/2024: 40 minutes late stone cold food a soggy pizza a bbq rib steak with taco sauce on it for some reason and a hot dog with mayo huge wast of money €50 down and I’m still starving
