Diamond Rocks Cafe

Kilkee
20/04/2025: The food here was super tasty and the view was stunning outlooking the cliffs and sea, with floor to ceiling windows. The service was efficient and works well.
20/04/2025: We had our wedding there last weekend and we are still overjoyed with the day and everything about the Diamond Rocks. From the first day we made contact with the Diamond Rocks team, over a year ago, until now it was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. Nothing was a problem and everything was possible. We felt so welcome as the first couple in the new venue. The Diamond Rocks team, specially Margaret, Nadine and Kevin made our dreams come true. Nothing could have prepared us, how beautiful the venue looked on the day, the views were breathtaking. The food was delicious and the way it was presented, was completely unique, specially the dessert, which was presented like an afternoon tea. The service was flawless, every single guest complimented the venue, the food, the service and enjoyed the warm welcome from the Diamond Rocks team. The value for money was outstanding. The views are priceless. This is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Ireland. We still can't believe, we celebrated our special day in our favorite place in the world. We couldn't ask for any better, it was perfect , every single moment. We wish the Diamond Rocks team every success. We know there will be many weddings to come.

Naughtons

Kilkee
11/03/2025: If you're ever in Kilkee, Co. Clare, Naughton’s Bar & Restaurant is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you step inside, the warmth of the welcoming staff and the cozy yet vibrant atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The food is nothing short of exceptional—each dish is a perfect blend of local flavors and culinary creativity. I opted for the fresh seafood platter, and it was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds—absolutely brimming with fresh, locally sourced delights. The portions were generous, and the presentation was artful. I also tried their renowned fish and chips, which were perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. The service was impeccable. The team is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made sure that we felt at home from start to finish, offering great recommendations and making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The ambiance is perfect for any occasion—whether you’re on a romantic date, a family dinner, or a casual night out with friends, Naughton’s has the perfect vibe. They even have a great selection of craft beers and wines to complement your meal. I can't recommend Naughton’s enough—it's one of those rare places where the quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere all come together perfectly. A true gem in Kilkee!

Holly's Café

Kilkee
07/04/2025: Popped in for breakfast, unfortunately the kitchen was closed today. Had a sausage roll and cake with a really good coffee. Everything was very good and the café is really bright and airy. Nice outdoor seating area too. Would definitely recommend!
03/04/2025: OMG delicious, we drove an hour from Doolin and stopped here for breakfast on the way to Dingle. We got the Pancakes, breakfast Bap, chocolate croissant, cappuccino, and orange juice and it was all delicious!

26/02/2025: First thing first ... The coffee was great 👍 if you love a good cup of coffee, this is the place. There's hot food options like toastie, panini and baps and a great selection of delicious cakes. There's also an outside sitting area to enjoy the sun and fresh air , also heater above outside table if it gets a bit frosty.

The Central Bar

Kilkee
12/03/2025: Had a right good session with a nice crowd of locals who made me feel very welcome! What made it even better was that Ireland beat Wales! Very nice Guinness, super friendly staff, and lots of em, so barely a seconds wait at the bar. Good stuff, will be going back!

Hickie's Bar

Kilkee
12/04/2025: Food was okay forget most things took them abour 25 minutes to take the order and nearly 40-50 minutes on food wouldn’t waste your time going
29/03/2025: Food was 10/10 service 1/10. diabolical. Waited 35 mins to get served a drink. Asked for water 4 times before we got it. Restaurant wasn’t busy so there was no excuse for poor service. The girls serving were young but got no guidance from manager.

Myles Creek Bar

Kilkee
18/03/2025: Didn't stop over this time juzt a meal and a drink. But even at the end of February there was plenty of choice on the menu. Quick service and had we been earlier in the morning the full breakfast ( others had ordered ) looked great and I'd be happy to eat. But it was a bowl of soup with soda bread lunch meal of choice. Filing and tasty
02/03/2025: Place was dated, room was small bed sheets were well used, bathroom dated and very cold. Lunch was smoked salmon and some chips, not the best and over priced, beer from tap was old not a good keg i would say. Morning breakfast i asked if i could have scrambled eggs with my fry instead of fried and was told NO, yet my wife sat infront of me eating scrambled eggs on toast. We cut our stay short. The off licence attached was awesome tho.

The Pantry

Kilkee
26/08/2024: The sandwiches at The Pantry are hard to beat. Top-quality ingredients, generous portions and a wide variety of options. Their scones and carrot cake are also well worth trying. The only downside is a lack of indoor seating which surely is a bit of a must given the unpredictable weather on the west coast.
26/08/2024: I have been going to Kilkee for the last forty years, and The Pantry has gotten progressively bewildering in what it is trying to achieve. Back in the day, it was a thriving Café and bakery, serving cooked breakfasts, sandwiches, and delicious treats. They have changed a lot over the years, and the current layout doesn't do it justice. The majority of the space is taken up with what I assume is intended to be an Italian style Delhi, with displays of jams, wines, olive oils and pastas. This runs alongside a hot counter and baked goods stand, and a seperate coffee counter. This peculiar layout is entirely at the expense of adequate indoor seating, in the wilds of west clare. There are a handful of small tables inside the front door, and an outdoor seating area with no awning or umbrellas despite frequent heavy rain. The food is very good quality, but you are paying Café prices for essentially take-away food, which is served in single use plastic, even if you are eating "in", and the staff can be gruff. The Pantry gets away with this solely because of the lack of competition. Save your money and head for Beag in Kilrush.
