The best restaurants in Kilkee

17/06/2025: Fantastic location, food was plentiful and delicious, views are incredible and plenty of parking. The Diamond Rocks Cafe is well worth a visit. Staff were attentive, very helpful and polite. Spacious restaurant with huge windows so you can enjoy the view whilst you tuck into the delicious menu. We really enjoyed the food and cake and left feeling full. We then took a walk along the costal path to walk of our lunch enjoying the fresh sea air. If you are in Clare pay the Diamond Rocks Cafe a visit. We will be visiting again 👍

07/06/2025: 2025 update: big renewal! Incredible views to the kilkee bay. The place changed its traditional style for a much more modern look and environment. It's larger, more light thanks for the big windows, and again, the views are unmatched. Recommend stopping here after a cliff walk.

17/06/2025: We held our family reunion at Stella Maris in Kilkee in June 2025, with relatives joining us from all around the world. It was a large group, including many happy young children, and the team at Stella Maris couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, with a full menu that offered something for everyone in our group. The quality was superb, and the variety ensured all tastes were catered for. The cocktail menu was extensive and expertly made, adding an extra touch of celebration to the occasion. A special highlight was the personalized menu featuring a welcome message for our family reunion — such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture that truly made us feel at home. We can’t thank the staff enough for helping make our reunion so memorable. Highly recommended!

16/06/2025: We ate in the restaurant, really good sea food and reasonable prices. Great staff and great cocktails.

29/06/2025: It was just after lunch and we needed a break. Holly’s was close so we decided to drop by. It was pretty busy around town but we were lucky and found a spot just up the street. The front patio was very busy, it was a warm sunny day but we were easily able to find a table inside. We ordered an Americano, a cappuccino and a fruit scone. The young lady at the counter gave my a nice smile as I paid and my order arrived shortly there after. My cappuccino was good but the scone which came with jam and butter, while tasty was a touch over baked. All in all, we enjoyed the break and I think I’d go back again to give them a second go at the scone.

12/06/2025: What an absolute gem of a spot! We stopped into O’Mara’s Bar in Kilkee and ended up having one of the best nights of our entire trip. This place is everything you want in a classic Irish pub—warm, welcoming, full of character, and absolutely buzzing with energy. The real star of the show? Eugene, the owner. What a legend! He’s the kind of person who makes you feel like a local the second you walk in the door. Full of charm, stories, and unbeatable craic, Eugene brings the whole place to life. You’ll come in for a quiet pint and end up staying for hours, chatting, laughing, and maybe even singing along with a few tunes. The pints were perfect, the atmosphere was unbeatable, and the sense of community was something really special. Whether you’re just passing through Kilkee or you’re lucky enough to live nearby, O’Mara’s is the kind of pub you’ll never forget. We’ll 100% be back—and we’re bringing more friends with us next time!

26/05/2025: We only had lunch at the Pub Restaurant of the Bayview Hotel. We both ordered Curry dishes: my wife the Vegan Curry and I had the Thai Chicken Curry. Both dishes were tasty but the Chicken one had nothing to do with Thai. It was more of an Indian Curry served with Naan (or an attempt to), chutney and rice. The dish was oddly also accompanied with french fries. The Cheesecake of the day was, as expected, Baileys but the taste was really subtle. Overall a good lunch.
