06/07/2025: Super good food and service, perfect location for after to distillery tour. Love all the food we had. Highly recommended!!

12/06/2025: The food was excellent and every dish delicious. We were looked after with efficiency and friendliness and Dad was particularly impressed that you asked if he'd like his wine with his starter or main course.

29/05/2025: After we visited the Midleton Distillery, pizza was calling my name. I stumbled across Cornerstone from a map search & VERY glad I did. I order 3 pizzas, meat lovers, cheese & pepperoni. They bake the pizzas in what looks like wood fire oven & use a giant wood spatula to move them around the oven. Nice crispy crust. The cheese pizza had 4 types of cheeses, and you got a nice blend with parmesan & maybe blue cheese hint, that was actually really good. The meat lovers had pepperoni, bacon, ham & chicken & the group favorite. Pepperoni was good too, but did’t stand out as much as the others. Note they only offer 12” pizzas.

29/06/2025: Showed up at 7pm, and was told that I couldn't get food because they had a large table that just showed up and it would an hour so they'll be closed. Apart from that table, it wasn't busy. Surely it doesn't take all the staff to service one table. Joke, was looking forward to it too.

29/06/2025: We had two good meals there. It's somewhat hidden in a small alley.

30/06/2025: Chef came out and made sure we were happy with the food. It was seriously delicious!!! I had red curry- best I have had! Everyone loved their food!

21/06/2025: We went to Salina for dinner. The food and service were fine, and the restaurant looked really nice, better than other halal places. While sitting at our table, we talked about how we found the food a bit expensive. It was a private talk between us. But the owner overheard it and made a rude comment when we were paying. He said someone compared his food to takeaway and that he didn’t want to see that customer again. It felt like he was talking about us and trying to embarrass us. This was very unprofessional. If you run a public restaurant, you should be able to accept different opinions. We didn’t complain to any staff, we just talked to each other. The owner’s behaviour ruined our experience.

05/05/2025: Thank you so much to all the team at Surf & Turf, East Cork Golf Club for hosting our wedding reception! Kasia and the girls were so easy to deal with, making an overwhelming time so much more relaxed. Myself and my husband got married abroad then honeymooned for nearly a month and only had a week at home to organise the reception. I believe if it was any other venue it would have been a nightmare. But the staff were so cool and calm, there was no fear! The decorations, layout and food was beyond perfection. All the guests, (including two professional chefs!) were blown away by how good the food was and how much of a selection we had in the menu. It was the talk of the evening (maybe even outshined the bride and groom! 😂) Every little detail and idea we had for our Japanese themed wedding reception they listened carefully and made our vision a reality, in fact even better than we imagined. My only regret is not relaxing more and trusting them to take over everything, they really knew exactly what to do to make the day perfect. We couldn’t fault a single thing, honestly! Surf and Turf will be our go to venue for all events and parties in the future. Thank you all again for everything Kasia, her husband and all the team at Surf & Turf.

14/06/2025: Really disappointing hot chocolate!! Bread and bakes here are fabulous however in recent times the drinks are severely lacking which is such a shame. Grumpy bakers in Midleton used to always have the absolute best hot chocolate locally but for the last few months it’s gone so downhill. I visited this morning and ordered hot chocolate - I have included a picture of what I received - hardly any chocolate and extremely watery - I had hoped the chocolate had just settled at the end of the cup but it hadn’t. I will give top marks for the marshmallow- amazing as ever and homemade. Hot chocolate aside I also ordered a sweet treat which was lovely but it would be amazing if the drinks could return to their previous standards - on my last visit I ordered an iced white mocha which was just an iced latte with chocolate flakes dumped in - they were completely unmelted and this was made by the same staff member as today.

01/06/2025: big disappointment. I bought a few muffins today to take away. Oreo unfortunately below average, rubbery dough and poor taste. Very high prices inadequate to quality.

17/05/2025: They have the nicest croissants lately and the coffee is consistently good. They are also reliable as they open early 7 days a week. They never let us down.

16/03/2025: Overnight stay while visiting the distillery which is a short walk into town. The bar and room were super clean and the furnishings upstairs made me feel like I was back at my Granny's house, which is good!

07/01/2025: Stayed here twice this year. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Showers had great water pressure. Anne and Brendan were great hosts. The bar downstairs is great. They serve a good pint. This is a fine location to walk into Midleton for great food. A nice walk to the distillery as well. We will be back again.

20/06/2025: Classy looking joint, really nice inside. Cocktails were nice, coffee was good. Fine big smoking area. Live music. Didn't try food, pints were OK. Bit pricy in here but OK vibe. Unusual crowd in here with some people clearly very drunk (it was early hahaha) Pub, drunk people? Who knew. Other than that, it's a place I would go back to.
