10/02/2025: The guy behind the bar was nice to chat to. Cracking pint of Guinness too. Went on a Monday night, hence the 2/5 for atmosphere

07/03/2025: A great restaurant that serves quality Asian fare. The only reason I cant give it 5 stars is due to fact that their prices are a little extravagant for the portion sizes you receive. Still highly recommend !

03/03/2025: I would recommend their satay sauce, somewhat the best in LK I would reckon. Always pair your meal with satay sauce add-on. You won't regret it. Their spice bag are so flavourful. And chicken ball is just crunchy on the outside and juicy inside.

31/01/2025: Avoid. We have been regular customers of Shangri La for years! The entire family have been loyal customers and regularly order at least once per month. Called to request a refund for 2 items for the first time ever, as they were not the quality we are usually used to. The result was a denial of any form of refund or voucher for the food. Super disappointed to be turned upon like this by a restaurant we used to love so much.

25/01/2025: Haven’t been here in years so thought I would give it another try hoping things had changed, boy was I disappointed. Ordered fried rice with my main but there was so much white pepper in it the rice was a grey colour and I couldn’t eat much of it. Also ordered spicy crispy chicken, there was no seasoning at all on the chicken it just tasted of frozen crispy chicken and most of it was tiny pieces of rock hard chicken and this too was covered in so much white pepper it really was disgusting. Three mains and a starter cost nearly fifty euros.

11/12/2024: €9.50 for a chicken wrap not even a bit of salad or a few crisps with it. It was fresh and this is no reflection on the staff but that is poor value for money and I was not impressed . Sorry but I felt cheated

02/02/2025: All of us went here for coffee and a cupcake during the summer and oh my gosh it was closed when we arrived the kids had to be comforted with the doors closed because of the rain during the night

17/02/2025: Arrived 640pm on a Thursday night place quite busy, had set menu at 16.95 euro , which included starter main tea/coffee also included portion of poppadoms and nan bread. Took advantage of bottle of house wine at 14.50 which was good for house wine. Surprisingly food all served promptly as place was busy , staff polite and professional, starters excellent, definitely recommend the chicken shashlik kebab and the rest of the food good value for price The restaurant clean and had a nice atmosphere would definitely return.

09/02/2025: very bad food, they added chickpeas in Biryani’s…yakkk garlic naan quality was so bad, seems they provide some packaged breads.. overall not recommend until they improve food quality

26/02/2025: Ringing customers on the sly after ordering on just eat demanding extra €5 in cash on delivery. Or else they would not deliver. Them telling us to call just eat for the money back if we cancel. Not cool guys. Will be reporting to just eat.

16/11/2024: Ordered over an hour ago said its would be 45 minutes and yet over a 45 min late. Phoned to ask how long and the fella that answered the phone was so rude and unnecessarily unhelpful. Never had bother with them until now I'll not be giving my money to them again....hire some staff with manners!!!

15/03/2025: Overall 3/5 ... ordered a "cornish" with chips, pasty not fluffy at all, filling good, 3/5, chips like cardboard and no condiments unless you pay for them and that for a price tag of 15 quid 2/5, didn't ask for salad, won't eat it, won't rate it n/a, service quick but remade food 4/5, coffee tough excellent 4.5 / 5, will I come back, likely not unless as today I'm awfully hungry

26/02/2025: Got a pizza that the cheese all slid to the side, granted they said they'd bring a new one but the dough of the pizzas aren't like they used to be. It used to be light, floury and very enjoyable. Now the dough is kind of heavy like it either have freezer burn or was previously cooked and reheated. Whatever you're all doing it isn't working.

01/03/2025: Used to be a regular long time ago but stopped for a while due to declining standards Decided to give it another try today after some months Helpful and friendly service from the cashier staff kelly Improved service, hygiene. Seats and tables now much cleaner, although could be improved is at the standard of typical fast food restaurants Food also much improved- less dry, more juicy meat with better frying. Quality is not bad. good prices 10 euros for 6 piece chicken My friend got a 18 wings as depicted Good job on the comeback and keep it up!

01/03/2025: On a weekend trip to Letterkenny, some friends and I ordered off the menu from this restaurant, much to my demise. Between five of us, we spent over sixty euro-worth of food to be delivered to a house not far from the location. I will say fair play for the delivery driver getting here much sooner than the estimated delivery time. However, we began to unpack the delivery, and soon realised we were missing food - at least two meals. I phoned the restaurant to let them know of the error, hoping as it wasn’t long delivered that the driver may still be close and be able to drop off what was missed, possibly in the back of their car. The staff member who I spoke to told me that my food was on the way, I reassured her that the driver had already been but we were still missing some food. I was then told all the food was definitely ordered and in the delivered cardboard receptacle. I had to reissue my point that the box was now empty and there were still meals missing from our inventory. The member of staff raised her voice over the phone, often repeating the words, “100% the food is there, I seen it with my own eyes.” This first telephony conversation lasted around five minutes, and clear to both parties it was going no where. The member of staff at Money Tree then ended the call. Following this, there were three more phone calls to have similar conversations. I am generally a glass-half-full-type of person and give everyone the benefit of the doubt, however I was at the end of my tether after my experience with Money Tree, and have never felt so gas-lit by a hospitality industry. As I told Money Tree, they will not be receiving my custom again.
