14/03/2025: Fantastic fish and chips, lovely staff, couldn't fault this place 🙌

04/03/2025: Mr Chippies The Mountain Top. Great Dinners with Meat, Veg and Potatoes. Great Staff very friendly and very helpful. Plenty of parking too. Easy access for wheelchairs etc. Definitely worth a visit.

26/12/2024: The worse feed we ever had. Could hardly find the chicken in the fillet burger. It was cold and no sauce. There was about 20 chips in the tiny wee bag that came with the meal. Folks steer clear of this rip off joint €24 for food that wouldn't fill the hole in your tooth!!

19/12/2024: Food was fine, but at 7pm on a Thursday night, there was no one else sitting in, and we struggled to find a clean table to sit at. Tables and floors were dirty and the toilets were absolutely disgusting. Toilet seat and floor covered in pee and unflushed poo, no toilet roll. I expected the toilet to be clean as a male staff member was in just before me. He either used the last of the toilet roll and didn't flush or didn't clean the toilet. (Female toilet)

15/11/2024: I visited here on Wednesday 13th November with my daughter and her friend it was my daughters birthday and she goes to college in Letterkenny, so i drove two and half hours. When we arrived we got served and had great Banter with the bar staff. I had found them very friendly. However there was a pub quiz on which involved i-pads. We took part in this. At half time our eye pad was knocked off the counter by accident by someone who was getting a drink at the bar. The front screen of the i-pad cracked and we couldn't open it, One of my daughters friends gave it to the lad that was doing the quiz and when he seen that it was cracked he came over to us and said who the F%%K is going to pay for this, I said sorry about that it was sitting on the bar and someone knocked it off the bar, He said that cost F%%%ing €80. I said well you don' expect us to pay for it and surely there is insurance. He looked at the bar man and put his hand up to his neck making an expression to not serve us any more , There was about 6 bar staff on that night and were not allowed to serve us. I got the attention of one of the bar staff which i actually think was a manager and i asked him why he is not serving us and he told us because you broke that I-pad I asked him could i speak to the manager and he said the manager was not there. I told him we didnt break it that it was knocked off the counter but it fell on deaf ears, . No one would serve us. Eventually my daughter moved to a different part of the bar and got served and paid with her phone. When the barman seen the drinks in- front of us he lifted them including the first drink that i had sitting there not finished. At this stage the bouncer was there with us as i had called him over to say what was happening and he also witnessed the bar man doing this. My daughter said to the bar man why are you doing that i have paid for those drinks. The bar man said you didn't so she showed him her phone to prove payment of €20.80. He went to the till and threw €20 on the bar. I spoke to the 2 lovely bouncers at the door and they could not believe this happened, one of the bouncers asked did you not get the manager and i told him i was told he was not there. The bouncer said he was, that is why i think that the manager was the man who took the drinks off us and told all the bar staff not to serve us. There was a lot of people in the pub that night and asked what happened as they could see i was very upset and they could see that the bar staff were not serving us. Some of the people there even offered to get us drinks but i said no, i dont think we are welcome here and he might not serve you either. I have never in my life being treated so bad or ever told to leave a place . The bar man { I think manager }clearly was a ignorant bully who took the side of the man that was running the pub quiz. and who has absolutely no clue about customer service. He really put a damper on our night and for those reasons i would not recommend this place to anyone.
