The best restaurants in Balbriggan

04/01/2024: We had a "Festive menu " at €34.95 for 2 courses, on the Friday night after Christmas. Our experience on this night left a lot to be desired. Staff need to be trained as how to serve in a restaurant environment. Huddled in groups having the chats with the kitchen staff over food that was being prepared. Food was not up to par at all. Soup was re heat from earlier in the day. Took 45 mins to come to the table. Asked for some butter and it was handed to me from the servers hand, not on a plate. Roast Turkey and honey baked ham was on the menu, however a cheap Turkey ,ham , stuffing parcel was what I received. The ham resembled a thick rasher. We were given a Veg bowl , however what received was Sloppy carrots and soft broccoli from earlier in the day that had been just reheated. Potatoes came from the microwave, again I presume from earlier in the day. We asked for a bottle of wine, this was handed to us in a cooler with ice , but the wine was off the shelf and still warm. Again the server simply placed it on the table and walked away.At €30 per bottle , I would expect it to be cooled . And possibly poured in to a glass. We will not be going back to this as a restaurant unless they improve their standards . Not the staff fault as they have not been trained correctly. However floor manager needs to pull up his socks..

27/03/2024: Ashling served us this morning for a full Irish and an omelette, she was one of the most welcoming people we’ve ever had serve us food, so good we left a €10 tip leaving Food was also fantastic, with a great service it was fantastic all round.

25/03/2024: Short version: No issues with the service, nothing special. It's got a chilly outdoor area in the middle of a housing estate so the atmosphere. Was disappointed with the food More detail: The French toast was more like French bread. Ultimate breakfast - The sausages are very good so is the pudding, however the Hashbrown was tiny and the eggs weren't great. Steak was fine nothing to write home about.

30/03/2024: What a place - food excellent staff so friendly and helpful and we are quite demanding but all our needs were met. Have been here before and will definitely come back even driving 60miles each way is well worth it.

17/03/2024: Picked up a menu there on March 3. Ordered a take away March 17. Menu says total was €38.97 Bill was €46.97 Rang to query it .... and got the following as an excuse. The menu was changed in September 2023., yet on March 3, the pre September one is still available to pick up. Con Merchants. I called to query it, and they hung up on me ... amateurs. Finally, even though they take cards if you dine in, all take away orders are cash only. Why? @revenue.ie ..... may be worthy of investigation.

24/03/2024: Got breakfast, hash brown with poached eggs and avocado. It was potato cubes with overly poached eggs, avocado and ½ a cold tomato. I ordered this with no cheese, but it came out covered in cheese, so I had to return it. The place itself was freezing every time the door opened. The person I dined with ordered sausages on the side that they did not receive but were on the bill. The staff were argumentative when we asked for the sausages to be removed from the bill. Not a great place for breakfast.

28/02/2024: Im astonished by the prices of some products. over 8 euros for a small tray of chips with canned peas and ready made gravy..... CRAZY!!! the fish werent even seasoned, it was taken from the frozen fridge, nothing FRESH there like they claim. Frozen pies reheated in the microwave...... I saw how they make the kebabs........ I couldnt believe it!! not for the fainted heart, I saw adding the lettuce with the hands, not tongues, no gloves...... Very disappointed, I will never visit again.

30/12/2023: Ordered over the phone told me it would be ready in ten minutes I picked up twenty minutes after it wasn't ready and when it was it was under cooked chips were half frozen food was horrible and a waste of money

27/12/2023: One of the very few remaining dine in Chinese/Japanese restaurants in Balbriggan. Went over on Stephen’s day for a family meal. Service is excellent and food is lovely. The portions are huge so great value for money. Got the prawn toast for starter (easily would feed 2 or 3 people). Special fried noodles for mains was nice and spicy too. My son got the Udon noddles and they didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend the place. No atmosphere as the only ones there but I think it’s just a place people don’t know is there and has so much potential to be a great local restaurant.

27/03/2024: Service was very slow, but I blame management. The THREE! staff that were on duty were incredible! They efficiently dealt with a large volume of orders as best as they could. They were incredible. The management that put them in that position should be let go witb immediate effect. They clearly couldn't run a tap let alone a fast food place. Tbh, the 3 that were on today, give them the management job because they they worked a very busy situation incredibly well.

17/02/2024: It's not bad. It's clean and has a decent amount of space. It's hardly ever full so you're somewhat guaranteed seating.

14/10/2023: Used to love this place but the phone rings out, or is engaged (off the hook?) - Online and app (Easy Dish) orders don't work either, intermittently says restaurant offline. Is this place closed down or open and limited orders?
