01/02/2025: The best Italian in Dublin. Homemade food made at the moment and with a lot of love. Abundant food at an unbeatable price. The place is deceiving and does not seem welcoming, but the owner makes sure you feel at home.

03/01/2025: The place is just wonderful. We went because they have Irish Stew in the menu. Right away we felt we as if we were family. The atmosphere was family friendly and the staff were amazing. Great hospitality. The Stew is the best I have had since being in country (sampled five others from Waterford to Sligo, to Cork and Londonderry) and I plan to visit again tomorrow!

07/11/2024: Hemos cenado esta semana en Patrick Guilbaud y Capítulo Uno. Tomamos el foie gras salteado en Dax tonite, y créeme cuando te digo que podría haber sido un entrante en cualquiera de esos dos lugares Michelin estrella. Wow! Chef Grahah Neville puede no tener ninguna estrella Michelin (todavía) ... . pero este lugar es el verdadero negocio! Nos encantó su entrada principal de lomo de cerdo asado con repollo saboyano y jus de cerdo también. Bonitos bouches de diversión, gran pan! ¡El puré de patatas nos recordó a Joel Robuchon! Bonita carta de vinos a un precio razonable también, por copa o botella. Gran servicio. Si estás en Dublín y quieres una buena comida, prueba Dax... ¡por mucho menos que las dos estrellas! ¡No te decepcionarás! Bravo!

20/01/2025: We recently had our wedding celebration dinner in BANG and were left extremely delighted with our night! From the start Carmel was great to deal with listening to what we liked and offering great advice. Staff assisted us in decorating our private room and were extremely attentive throughout the whole night especially Dom and Virginia. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests could not stop complimenting it! We couldn’t recommend BANG more to have your special occasion in, you will not be disappointed!!!

26/01/2025: This review is a couple of months late, with my apologies. We enjoyed a spectacular meal in November 2024 and I had wanted to say thank you so much. The pumpkin & parmesan croquettes were life-changing... the gnocchi sublime. The thing that made it perfect though was the service which was warm, enthusiastic and professional. Our server was unflappable even when the table next to us set their napkin on fire, and seemed completely uninterested in putting it out. We got an awful fit of the giggles but she was serenity itself as she saved the day. I would come back to Kinsale just to visit The Black Pig. The food was truly the best meal I've had in 10 years, maybe more - every dish perfection. The prices are a steal compared to the highway robbery that's taken over Dublin with largely boring, poorly executed food.

18/01/2025: Amazing food here, great variety on the menu, great location in Athlone (can nip into Gertie’s before and after for a pint), we make it a point to visit every year on the annual Athlone visit! Highly recommended

10/01/2025: Wonderful food and service this evening, Friday 11/01/2025. Myself and my wife had the “value menu” and we each tried separate starters, main courses and desert. We both loved each of the dishes presented. The service was excellent and the restaurant and toilets are extremely clean. Super, super value at €45 per head and we will be back.

09/02/2025: Food as always was beautiful. My only complaint is how rushed we were off our table. We arrived at 5.30 and expected to have the table for the full two hours. At 7.20 a waitress came to our table and said that the next party who needed our table had arrived early and could we please pay the bill. My friend still had her dessert in front of her and didn’t finish it. We paid the bill at 7.23 and sat in the small waiting area to finish our drinks. I know it was only 10 mins but the way it was handled wasn’t very nice. I’ve been there so many times, always recommend to friends and have bought countless of vouchers over the years so was not happy with how rushed we were when our time wasn’t even up!

28/01/2025: Always pleased after getting a take away from Glin Grub it’s one of the best places in Limerick I recommend greatly. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is very good. Chips are delicious aswell as the pizzas 🍕 their chicken kebab is my favourite so tasty and the curry coleslaw chips. All of their food is great I’m a very happy customer thank you : ⭐️ )

10/02/2025: Super delicious Japanese Hokkaido Cheese Tarts. Limited availability so a lot of flavors run out closer to the end of the night. A little bit on the pricy side at €3.9 a pieces for a few bites. Good amount of bar seating but the chairs weren't super comfortable and not super conducive for groups.

19/01/2025: I've been looking for this place my whole life! I found it completely by accident, very tasty rolls, big size, super nice staff, they brought me a gift from the establishment, just because they dropped one potato, it was too nice, the atmosphere is super, very clean 10000/10

13/01/2025: Being meaning to try here for a long time, never got around to it. But got surprised with a delivery box gift. Even from the personalised message on the box was lovely but the presentation of meats, cheeses, crackers etc.. was lovely you could see and smell the freshness 👌 it has left an appetite for more and a definite visit to sit in the restaurant soon 👌🙏

The New Year's Eve menu was truly special- the flavours of spicy margarita and cauliflower chipotle tostada will stay with me a long time and I'll dream of encountering them again at Monk's Lane, long may it delight us in Timoleague.
