02/05/2025: 2 salads bought, ingredients fresh and tasty, complimented by some lovely fresh brown bread! Service on point, very busy but all well handled… now understand why there was a queue, will be returning on any future visit and would highly recommend!

Fantastic fish dishes and real Italian pizza made by a Neapolitan pizza chef... What can I say, if you want to eat well, this place is truly recommended!

14/04/2025: Arrived just before menu changed from breakfast. We were handed the breakfast menu and kids were so excited deciding what to get only for a waitress to come over and tell us they're not serving breakfast anymore and handed us the afternoon menu. If this wasn't unprofessional enough we were then told that we had to wait 20 minutes for the chef to get ready for the new menu. I don't think this is the norm and I'm assuming they have a very unorganised chef or one that likes to show everyone they're the boss? Food was lovely as it always is in roots but the experience in this particular one (we normally go to Oranmore or Kilcolgan) left a sour taste and I wouldn't go back to Loughrea in a hurry.
05/04/2025: At first I thought it was a small bit overpriced for Loughrea (versus Galway or Dublin €) but he food, friendliness and service is well worth it and generous, well cooked, well presented servings. Spacious and clean and wonderful light and view.

27/04/2025: Absolutely delightful Cafe. Loved the coffee and the Italian pastries were divine. Loved the passion that they had for the coffee which they roast on-site. Lovely to sit outside with a view of the Green and the lake. Definitely one to recommend

10/05/2025: The staff on our check-in could not have been more helpful, I booked for the 4th-6th and turned up on the 7th !! But it was sorted without any fuss.
The hotel is clean and ideally situated for exploring Galway and the surrounding countryside.
It is in need of some TLC in places but overall a lovely helpful staff that more than make up for a shortcomings in the decor.
08/05/2025: Nice good sized room.
Very decent restaurant on site.
On the other hand, the laundry given to be washed at 6 p.m. was not ready the next evening at 6 p.m. as agreed; I left with my dirty laundry.
Party organized in the large room but no noise on the 3rd floor.
