Cobra Tandoori

03/02/2025: Cobra Tandoori in Kinsale is a good alternative to all the restaurants around serving fish and chips mainly, especially when the posher ones are closed for the season. It is cosy, service is friendly and fast. Food is very good. We had a mild chicken curry and a spicy lamb dish, both were very tasty with lots of tender and succulent meat in large portions. Very recommendable and very good value for money.
27/01/2025: Ordered a takeaway on there online system which was fine. Tandoori chicken and out main chicken dishes were low grade/quality. Meat was not good. You know when bite into it..🤮 Chips were dried out and cold. Definitely recooked. And they got out rice orders wrong too. For the price they charge the quality just instead there. I won't be ordering from there again.

01/01/2025: If you value authentic Indian, please stay away from here. I was left sitting for an hour waiting for my order that had been placed online with no explanation or apology.
The food itself was truly not nice. How do you mess up butter chicken? Really just cream. 5 pieces of 'tandoori' chicken (just regular cooked chicken, blackened) in the most watery sauce with weak anaemic flavour.
I'm such a fan of Indian cuisine and chose this for my final meal of 2024. Super disappointed and will not be returning here. Spent €60 for 2 starters and 2 mains with sides and honestly, cannot justify it whatsoever. Find a Coriander restaurant and go there, trust me!
18/11/2024: Went here for their Sunday buffet, 14.95 euros which was a good price. The starters included tikka on the bone, battered vegetables and salad and was lovely. The mains included chicken korma, vegetarian curry, lamb and also chicken, with pilau rice. We had good portions and the food was lovely. The staff were very pleasant too. Definitely recommend a visit.

08/02/2025: I understand that costs have gone up for Take aways, unfortunately mr kebab in mallow increased his prices which I understand BUT he has reduced his portion sizes, luckily plenty of take aways in mallow so I'll have my once a week treat from somewhere else next time.

19/12/2024: Nice to find an Indian restaurant in Carrigaline that serves good food. The service was a bit uneven but overall still above average. Enjoyed a quiet dinner with work colleagues there, would go again.
30/10/2024: Restaurant is in a great location and for the area, the prices are relative. Pretty, modern and well kept.
Staff aren’t so attentive or easy to communicate with, nonetheless polite and friendly.
Food was okay - well presented and served hot. The naan was great but curry itself was average. Appreciated the complimentary chocolate.
€200 for 6 people without starters.
Don’t think I’d go back.

15/02/2025: I ordered a takeaway as I have done before. I ordered a kebab that was nice. the king prawn was yellow milk with 5 prawns. The jalfrezi wasn’t much better . And mixed grill sizzler was awful The mushroom rice was the best thing in the whole meal
22/01/2025: Excellent samosas to start. Everyone had a different main, the dhansak and beef madras were winners, but all were very happy with their choices. The tarka dhal was also good; creamy and delicious. One member of our group compared the food to an expensive Indian restaurant he eats in regularly and declared this was better. Will return.

31/03/2024: Today i buy chicken tikka roll i was fasting and going for job. When i start eating role its was very hot and a lot of red chill i was not able to eat it i put it in bins spending 11.45 for anothing
19/03/2024: My husband and I had dinner here with friends. This was our first visit and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were extremely generous. There is a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with beautiful decor. The staff are friendly and efficient. Our main courses were so large that we took home the leftovers, and were delighted to find that they were equally tasty when reheated the next day!! You need to be mobile to eat here as the only access is via a steep set of stairs. A similarly steep set of stairs is the only way to the toilets (which are shared with the adjoining pub). There is something on the menu to suit all tastes, and I will definitely eat here again.

22/07/2023: SHOCKING!!! I've had microwave packs that tasted better!
Ordered Chana Chicken- chicken was at least a day old,didn't taste of anything, chickpeas tinned, still crunchy probably just out of the tin there and then. Sauce was watery a.f. , no trace of veggies
Jalfrezi - no trace of turmeric or ginger or not even onions or pepper. Just some curry powder and a lot of chilli powder in it.
Basmati rice, had better uncle Ben's packs.
No music whatsoever.
The waiter has to turn the light on in the toilets for you if you need to use them. No surprise there as it's completely empty and probably have to keep the costs down
Avoid at all costs!
