22/12/2024: The Tajmahal Curry House is a fantastic spot for authentic Indian cuisine. The flavors are rich, the dishes perfectly spiced, and the service is warm and attentive. Their butter chicken and naan are a must-try! A cozy ambiance and great value make this place highly recommendable. ❤️

21/12/2024: Service was great as our food arrived within 10 minutes and they gave complimentary drink. Food was below average and the place looked dirty. Overpriced food but quantity was okay.

11/11/2024: After a 5 hour journey we drive into buncrana looking for some good food. It was a quiet Monday night and we stumbled upon Sherpa. It was excellent. Lovely warm restaurant with friendly staff

19/10/2024: Amazing staff and the starter we had shared needs work using a lesser cut of lamb as they know how to cook it and gigot d’aneau isn’t the best cut for hot temperatures. HOWEVER.. the lamb biryani and my lamb Rogan alongside the sides of special rice and a chickpea Dahl and some special fried rice and finished with a double espresso and a mango kulfi . Fantastic

09/02/2025: very bad food, they added chickpeas in Biryani’s…yakkk garlic naan quality was so bad, seems they provide some packaged breads.. overall not recommend until they improve food quality

27/12/2024: As an Indian I would appreciate if this restaurant, does what an Indian hospitality greets with to others. I went to this restaurant with my family on a Sunday lunch and we were the only one during that time who were in the restaurant. Even though we had decided our orders the servers took 15 minutes to take our orders. As if this was not enough, we were not even served with water after taking our order. We had ordered chicken Tikka bhuna and mix vegetarian with plain nan, garlic nan, Coriander nan and chapati to try out bits and pieces of every dish. The food was okiesh as it was not upto the expectations of an Indian dish or an Indian pallete. Would recommend having something ready to eat from Tesco instead of wasting money for something not worth

02/01/2025: **Disappointing Experience** We ordered takeaway from Shapla on the 31st of December, and I regret to say the service was unacceptable. When I called to place the order, I asked the person on the phone to give me a moment to get the Airbnb address. Instead of being patient, he told me to call back when I was ready and ended the call abruptly. When I called back with the address, he struggled to hear me and repeatedly moaned in frustration, even though I repeated myself several times. When the delivery driver arrived, I couldn’t tell if it was the same person or not, but the attitude was just as unpleasant. We told him to give us a second while we grabbed the cash for our €90 order, and he sighed, placed the food on the ground, and snatched the money rudely before walking away without a word. As for the food, the quality was equally disappointing. I found a hair in the food, the rice was unsalted, the chips were cold, and the butter chicken tasted like leftover curry sauce from the day before. The only redeeming item was the naan bread, but even that was overly doughy. I understand it was New Year’s Eve and a busy time, but this does not excuse such poor service and attitude. Customer service is crucial in the restaurant industry, and sadly, none of that was evident during our experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve both their food quality and their attitude toward customers.

21/12/2024: This seems to have turned into a "Just Eat" takeaway, whereby they have diners eating in, but don't really need them. The door banged endlessly due to deliveries, but waiter blamed the wind. Loud phone ringing constantly due to people calling up to order takeaways. Restaurant was not warm enough for dining in. Food was very ordinary, but the nan was nice. Overall, not a pleasant experience at all.
