15/01/2025: Visited recently and had Roast beef . It was excellent . Food was fresh and fabulous . Potatoes and veg were delicious .Beef was so tender and portion size was very generous . Gravy was nicest I've ever had . Chips served on the side by request and not charged for . Definitely can't wait to visit again

24/12/2024: The worst Indian food I have ever had. Ordered chicken 65 for starters and they gave me a chicken curry and said that is what chicken 65 in that restaurant was. Tried special Biryani. The meat was over cooked and hard. The special Biryani had chickpeas more than rice. D

16/12/2024: I would usually give Santoor 5* but on Saturday evening, our takeaway order was missing one rice and a samosa order for which we seem to have been charged. (Over €60). A return to collect the missing items was not possible as we live miles away, so it was disappointing ...

27/10/2024: Tasty food overall but we waited over 40 min for our order. I would think it to be basic courtesy to make customers aware how long they will have to wait for their food especially if it's more than 25-30 min

07/12/2024: Visited here with family, very very disappointed, the restaurant was so busy with take outs and was very short staffed. We waited 1hour and a half for main course which was Luke warm, weren't even presented with cutlery. No one approached our table to see if everything was ok. When we said it to the waiter he was quite rude. Wouldn't return here again. He in return said that is your choice.

28/10/2024: The worst Indian food I have ever had. We ordered a range of curries from chicken balti, chicken tikka balti, chana bhuna, lamb bhuna and tarka dhal. All of the curries were a bright orange colour, in a watery sweet sauce. They all tasted the same. The naan bread was stale and old. We called the restaurant to complain and they basically told us to deal with it and that they have never had a complaint after 20 years. That’s not what their Google reviews seem to say, it seems like everyone had the same experience as us. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but can’t believe the service we recieved after spending over €100. There is nothing authentic about this place. If you want old, stale, flavourless food which will get you unwell then this is the place to visit

25/01/2025: Great food, lovely table service, very nice dining room, an excellent meal provided by excellent staff. Very happy with the dining experience and sure to return

10/01/2025: What happened? They used to serve great food but I went in and had a really flavourless meal. Chicken Biryani was not tasty (overcooked and clumps of rice) and came with a side of equally unappetizing, nondescript curry sauce with two hard chunks of potato. The raita was yogurt with a dollop of cumin on top and some chunks of cucumber. The Dahl was flavourless and the Jalfrezi, which had a decent flavour, consisted of undercooked onions, overcooked chicken and wasn't spicy. It's almost like Sitar have lost interest in providing a good meal and are more interested in taking your money. Not a great long term strategy. Also, when I came in the place was silent. It might be a good idea to put on some music and get rid of a few tables near the door and put up a divider so people who eat in feel comfortable and aren't distracted every time someone comes in to collect their takeaway. Apologies for the scathing review but it was necessary, especially at the price point.
