Chakra by Jaipur
Greystones
30/04/2025: Visited 'Chakra' as it was suggested to us by quite a few. The visual experience was great.
We had ordered:
Starters:
1) Jal Tarag Scallops
2) Rangi Chicken Tasting
Mains:
1) Rawat's Malai Monkfish
2) Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry
Bread Basket
Kids:
Murgh Malai Tikka - with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert
Fried Prawns - with korma sauce, rice, butter naan and dessert
Desserts:
Creme Brulee
Belgian Chocolate Bahar
Drinks:
Chakra Passionfruit Martini
Elderflower Daiquiri
Mango, Saffron & Honey Lassi
Mango Lassi for the Kids
Chakra ticks all the boxes for visual representations of their dishes.
When it comes to taste, well it did not match my expectations. I guess the dishes are tweaked too much that it looses its orginality.
We enjoyed the starters and the kids liked their dishes.
The mains....hmmm.... what can I say....
Rawat's Malai Monkfish - The monk fish was bland, a simple seasoning would have elevated the dish. Liked the cutlet and tomato rice though.
Kerala Lamb Pepper Fry - I am quite sure this was in no way a 'Kerala' style dish. I come from Kerala and I am quite well versed with the distinct flavors of my home state.
Desserts were thoroughly enjoyed and the show stopper was the "Creme Brulee"
Will we come back... for the experience, Yes. For the food, I am not too sure.
Probably it's the Indian in me looking for authentic tastes in Ireland.
15/04/2025: Much anticipated visit to the Chakra by Jaipur in Greystones on our trip to Ireland.
The trio chicken was very good. The momo, chicken kebab boneless and the drum stick were perfectly marinated and beautifully presented.
The veg and non veg thalli weren’t that impressive.
The palak paneer and palak chicken were exactly the same. The kofta curry and coconut prawn were exactly the same with added coconut milk in the prawn. It’s obvious that base sauces are reused. The dahl tadka was acceptable. Not great.
The gun powder potatoes (basically chips with Cajun seasonings) was presented as Bombay Potatoes.
The creme brulee was very nice.
The decor is very tastefully done.
I’m giving it a five star because the above observations would only be obvious to someone who cooks Indian food. It’s a good restaurant if you’re after a fairly good Indian meal. However it’s not exceptional.

Pink Salt
Bray
08/05/2025: Today we visit pink salt for dine in for the first time, The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouthwatering starters and main courses that will appeal to youngsters and adults alike, we tried butter chicken and and samosa chaat. They were all exquisite and the most delicious indian food I have ever tried in Ireland .
12/04/2025: Food was excellent. Service was very good, even though 2 mistakes were made but they were quickly rectified. Finally we ordered 2 double espresso. What we were served, was not espresso, it was weak instant or percolated coffee and for €8. What was otherwise excellent was spoiled at the end.

Spice Village Indian Restaurant
Blessington
15/05/2025: Have had food h many times here ,enjoy it ,but something has changed as went for site down meal and after 20mins waiting and going and asking for a menu I gave up and walked out ,more interested in take away than people who want to dine in
12/05/2025: I'm very sorry that I can't give less than 1 star.
This place shouldn't be called a restaurant.
Came back again after few years of first disappointment.
Nothing better.
I had to wait at an empty table for over 30 minutes after placing my order.
No ordered drinks or complimentary snacks.
Very slow service.
Got my bottle of Cobra beer (€5 for sml bottle?) together with portion of pappadams and my starter at the same time.
I love Indian food but food in this place that's disaster.
Chicken mango curry taste like dessert
( extremely sweet), lamb curry a bit better except the rubbery meat.
Small portions of curry very expensive with no rice included.
Small cup of rice ( not enough for adult)
extra €3.50.
Pan fried naan bread looks more like roti or chapati very skinny and flat.
Staff nor very friendly and not helpful at all.
Our table was very messy, full of empty, unused and unwanted plates and glasses.
The waiters didn't bother to remove them before they start serving our food and didn't clean the table when we finished.
If I ordered dessert, I would have to hold the plate on my lap.
At 10pm waiter told us that if we need anything else we have to order now as kitchen will be closed at 10.30pm.
10 minutes later I asked him if I can get 2 mango lassi for take away but he refused and said it was too late. Seriously?
For 1 starter, 2 mains+ rice, small kids portion of curry and couple soft drinks had to pay over €80. I went home still a bit hungry.
I won't go there again.

Tiffin by Sunil
Greystones
07/03/2025: Had to wait nearly 90 minutes for my food to arrive. When it did arrive I was met with 6 timy pieces of chicken and cold rice. This food cost me €28 along with a naan bread. I don’t mind the wait and price as long as you get decent food. A microwave dinner in Lidl would be more filling and 1/5th of the price. Do better please
07/03/2025: Always so wonderful to be coming and picking up our dinner from Tiffin 😊 despite being so crazy busy today they still managed to make a delicious meal 😅 Happy New year 2025 guys🎉

Indian Spice
Greystones
18/02/2025: I just do not understand the good reviews, every dish in this place is made with Campbells tomato soups. It’s so obvious. We accidentally ordered from here after avoiding it for years and lo and behold it was just soup with chicken lumps. Don’t bother. There is another local Indian that is so good we have ordered two nights in a row.
28/10/2024: My favourite Indian in the town

Jausna
Wicklow
02/03/2025: Chips rice doesn't come with the main course you have to pay separate they told me what other are restaurant does that they ask me when I start naming she hung up
16/10/2024: Ordered chicken tikka masala sauce along with Chicken Jalfrezi , chicken Jalfrezi was ok to taste but chicken tikka masala sauce was a disaster. It tasted like condensed milk with a very thin texture , coloured pink . Never had such a bad tasting chicken tikka sauce from any Indian restaurants in Dublin or Wicklow. They should really rethink about this dish in their menu
