The Bianconi
Killorglin
31/03/2026: We didn't stay at the Bianconi, we had dinner there and omg it was amazing. Large portions, great service. The food was superb. I left feeling stuffed. It's rare to get great quality, great service and good portion sizes in the same place. Would 100% recommend it. Would also recommend booking in advance as our first attempt at the weekend they were fully booked.
10/03/2026: Rooms I've given 5 stars ,we didn't stay here we only ate here.
As our local doesn't do food on Mondays this time of year we travelled to killorglyn for a birthday meal.
We ordered a burger meal and a steak meal. The burger one was ok. The steak was over done I'd asked to it to be pink in the middle it wasn't.so it was a tad dry but relatively tender, you get a choice of one extra, I chose creamy mash , it wasnt creamy at all. The steak was garnished with tomatos on the vine and mushrooms, all rather unimaginative. The sauce I chose was brandy and ( can't remember) it was a very small amount but tasty.
The staff are quite knowledgeable about the food ,but I saw not one smile and personality seems also to be lacking. We had a Guinness and pot of tea, our bill was €77 I feel rather steep . Although the place itself is appealing ,the welcome isn't . I imo think the staff need to be retrained in the art of welcoming and cheerful.

Bunkers
Killorglin
08/03/2026: Got a steak sandwich €21.50 each, they were tasty enough however neither came with fries as it was supposed to which made them quite a small meal for the price.
07/03/2026: Wonderful pub restaurant with lots of choice and very helpful staff. Great prices too. A real gem !

Jack’s Coastguard Restaurant
Killorglin
01/04/2025: I decided to bring myself on a solo date for dinner in Jacks. It was daunting going solo but I had the loveliest experience. The waiting staff made me so welcome and were attentive without being invasive, the food was lovely and they accommodated a special order. It was made even more special by the magical piano playin of JP, a pure joy and a gentleman. JP plays here Thur- Sun and OMG is he worth the visit to hear. Oh and the view from the restaurant onto the sea is AMAZING. I will be back again for sure, again and again.
