30/11/2024: A few years ago, I wrote that these pub was lucky to not be invaded by tourist groups, and that was right for more than twelve years we know the place. Unfortunately, from the moment the former owners got a well deserved retirement, things have changed. And today, we local people were chased away for to leave the place for a tourist group 😡.
After this bad experience, we decided to return in winter and found back the lovely place we love, so I change my rating... But we'd rather avoid this place in summer.
03/11/2024: Delicious, great atmosphere and service. Had the vegetable coconut curry and it was amaaaazing. Great veggie option for a night in Waterville

13/11/2024: Don’t miss this cafe if you are travelling through Waterville. In fact you should even make a detour to experience it.
We had the best toasted sandwich ever here and followed it up with a delicious serving of carrot cake.
Excellent food eaten outside on a sunny warm November day - heaven!
07/11/2024: We have literally just left this wonderful, family operated cafe and already wish we could return for another stunning breakfast.
Not only was the food great for all you traditional Irish breakfast lovers, but the care and talent put into the vegan/vegetarian version was super appreciated.
Staff are warm and welcoming!
We’ll certainly remember this stop on our trip and we know you won’t forget it either.

Butler Arms Hotel

09/11/2024: Lovely hotel with amazing views
Rooms were a great size
19/10/2024: We stayed in room 208, and it was easily one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in, with its own balcony overlooking the ocean. The service was incredible, the food for breakfast was perfect before a day out exploring, and the staff are all delightful. It's worth splitting the Ring of Kerry into two days just to stay at this hotel!
