03/04/2026: This is truly a gem of a restaurant. Warm, cosy, and refreshingly easy to find—with convenient parking, which is always a bonus.
If any restaurant deserved six stars, this would be it. The service was exceptional, genuinely friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient without ever feeling overbearing.
The wine list is concise but perfectly curated. We enjoyed some beautiful bottles of Chablis, all very fairly priced and thoughtfully selected.
As for the food, simply outstanding. Prepared by a Michelin star chef, every dish was absolutely delicious, served piping hot, presented with real care and attention to detail.
All in all, it made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening and one we’ll be looking forward to repeating.
24/03/2026: Lovely restaurant and they are dog friendly! We were seated in the bar area with our dog and had some delicious food. Can recommend the steak!

25/04/2025: Absolute peach of a pub. Lovely people, lovely fresh local food. Reasonable prices. Only downer is that it’s difficult to park. But worth trying!!
08/02/2025: Great food in a beautiful oldstyle pub, welcoming, friendly staff and locals and a blazing fire on a cold day.
The chowder was delicious as was the brown bread and the calamari and prawns were as good as I have ever had.
