01/07/2026: Service was excellent. Food was excellent. It stood up to the name that the area is known for.
I was shocked at the affordability too because portions were generous.
The service was brilliant, well trained and well able.
Guinness wasn't up to tap but I am assured by local friends that this was an anomaly.

25/04/2025: Absolute peach of a pub. Lovely people, lovely fresh local food. Reasonable prices. Only downer is that itโs difficult to park. But worth trying!!
08/02/2025: Great food in a beautiful oldstyle pub, welcoming, friendly staff and locals and a blazing fire on a cold day.
The chowder was delicious as was the brown bread and the calamari and prawns were as good as I have ever had.
