09/05/2026: Absolutely fabulous food, even better then meals I had in Rome. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Good size portions too. I had the ravioli and it was simply divine, my husband had the carbonara and garlic bread and he said it was lovely. We will definitely go back when in castlebar, I just wished I had room for dessert.

26/04/2026: Absolutely incredible dining experience at Il Vulcano! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The mussels were hands down the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and served in the most delicious, flavorful broth that I honestly could have eaten on its own with a spoon. Just outstanding. Then came the lasagna… wow. I was completely blown away. Rich, comforting, and layered with so much flavor — easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted. To top it all off, the service was truly impressive. Attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special from start to finish. 28/02/2026: The owner of the restaurant is extremely kind and humble. We LOVED the food and would highly recommend this place to all Westport visitors. This was authentic Italian with the owner from Sicily and his head chef from Roma. We ordered the carbonara and seafood ravioli, a bottle of wine, 2 affogatos and aperitifs. All delicious and extremely well priced. Thank you! You could give our nonna a run for her money 😂
