The best restaurants in Ashbourne

25/07/2025: Trying Cinnamon Garden after getting a recommendation from my fiancé’s Indian colleague. There are some familiar names on the menu but I would suggest to ask when you order. They’ll tell you what you gotta try depends on your taste. I must say, the prawn dishes were mind blowing. This is REAL tiger prawns. Huge size of prawns that I haven’t seen in Ireland. Often times, Indian dishes can be too much spices but their spicy lamb dish was still full of flavours even though we could taste all different spices. It was unreal! Also, big portions. Mango lassi was very good too. My fiancé was saying it’s like Indian milkshake haha

20/07/2025: Great food and warm service! The Lamb Pepper Fry and Aampanna are an absolute must-try — packed with flavour and beautifully done. We also enjoyed the Chicken Lapeto, which was well-prepared and delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive, though we noticed that during busy hours, service tends to focus more on a few tables while others wait a bit longer. Still, overall a very good dining experience — definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area!

16/08/2025: We went to 50 Fifty for a birthday celebration. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was 6pm and we hadn't booked in advance, the restaurant wasn't busy as it was 6pm midweek. We ordered from the early bird menu which is available till 6:30pm. It was €26.95 for 2 courses or €30.95 for 3 courses. The atmosphere was good the restaurant was at about 1/3 capacity. For starters we ordered wings, fried brie and calamari (which was overcooked) For the mains we ordered Fish & Chips, 50 Fifty Burger, Pollo Funghetto and Carbonara (I don't recommend this dish) For dessert we ordered Brownies (really good) and White Chocolate & Strawberry Cheesecake (couldn't taste the chocolate or strawberries) We had beers & cider with our food. As we were celebrating a birthday, I asked for a candle in the brownie, which didn't arrive with dessert but a plate arrived during dessert with a candle in a scoop of ice-cream and a complimentary cocktail (nice touch) and the staff sang happy birthday. I recommend 50 Fifty.

04/08/2025: Wonderful store will be back again. Manager Tadi super friendly, professional, and always makes sure everything is just right. You can tell she really cares about the customers and takes pride in her work. The service is quick, the food is always fresh. Highly recommend for a quick, tasty, and reliable meal. 🍕🔥

02/08/2025: Service extremely bad waited at counter for five minutes while manager watched he seen me and never came out to counter I got four large pizzas and four boxes of wedges and I asked for one or two extra dips was told to ask manager Two or three dips
