The best restaurants in Laytown-bettystown-mornington

06/09/2025: For the past 6 years we have booked rooms for 7 families to visit and enjoy Laytown racing. We stay 2 x days and Reddan's cannot be anymore accommodating. We love everything about this hotel. Location, rooms with stunning views, food, service and the owner is absolutely lovely. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR REDDAN'S xxxxxxx

17/07/2025: We stopped into Reddans for a bite to eat and enjoyed a delicious meal. They also make a wonderful latte.

03/01/2026: The hotel is incredible, but there were a few issues with our staying. The suite I booked on the website was called “Garden suite”, arriving to the hotel they said the suite was called “the bridal suite”, which lead my partner and I to an argument as they thought I was proposing, which supposed to be a good night out, starting off with an unpleasant surprise! The room was amazing, but the hot water and the heating system was not working and when we told reception, they said it would be sorted out in a few minutes, we had hot water for 10 minutes and that was all, also they provide a Bath and a shower, but just 2 towels, which is odd. Then, we decided to have dinner at the room, I went down to order and they delivered missing the dessert and the gravy, nothing was offered to apologized to us. The staff, at least, were friendly the whole time.

15/12/2025: The works Christmas meal, I was totally flabbergasted to say the least. We were seated in what looked like the dance area for our meal, no dinning room, food came out that wouldn't feed a small child, for the meat eaters were medallion style meat slices x 2, plus sage and onion medallion x 1, no peas, no mash, roast potatoes x 3 each, mine came out as a non meat eater with 5 sprouts 3 roast potatoes and roasted parsnips/carrots x 2 of each with a drizzle of gravy. I insisted on a main to substitute the meat, which I have to say was nice, so was the dessert but no cream just served dry chocolate orange mouse style cake. For the cost of the meal for 2 courses, and the megger small portions served I'll not be doing a return visit. It seemed like a conveyor belt approach, not what a lot of group parties were looking forward Saturday night, including our group. Totally disappointed with the meal and one style of music played by the DJ geared up for 16 year old obviously. Survice to say I and another left early. Whoever the restaurant Manager is, I truly hope you take note for next year. Be interesting to know a break down of what cost £35 per head.
