The best restaurants in Laytown-bettystown-mornington

06/09/2025: For the past 6 years we have booked rooms for 7 families to visit and enjoy Laytown racing. We stay 2 x days and Reddan's cannot be anymore accommodating. We love everything about this hotel. Location, rooms with stunning views, food, service and the owner is absolutely lovely. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR REDDAN'S xxxxxxx

27/01/2026: Hmm, let's start with the positives, most (note I say most) of the staff were lovely. Very polite and helpful and the evening meal I had one night was very good, really enjoyed it. And that's where the positives end. The first room they gave me had a TV with no signal which couldnt be fixed and a dripping shower that would drive you crazy. The lady on reception did sort out another room for me which only had single beds, not a double as booked but it was fine, though the shower still dripped, maybe a feature of all the rooms. They could definitely do with an update, looking rather tired and the hotel wifi doesn't seem to work in the rooms! There was a private function downstairs on the first night I was there and it was loud. Very loud. A live band that went on til midnight. They would have known about this well in advance so maybe it would have been a good idea to let any guests who had booked know so they could decide if they wanted to change hotel. I know I certainly would have. I was staying for work but fortunately didn't have to get up too early the next morning. Good job really. On to breakfast, again the young lady working there was lovely but be warned, if you are hungry don't count on getting fed quickly. I ordered an orange juice, cup of tea and porridge. It took about 20mins to get the juice, a further 10mins for the tea and about another 20mins for the porridge!! Crazy. The ladies at the table next to me got sick of waiting and just left. And before you think they must have been busy, think again, when I arrived there were 3 tables occupied, 1 of which looked like they had already had their food, so definitely not run off their feet. When it eventually arrived it was ok, nothing special but I was offered honey by the young lady which was nice. When I went for breakfast the second morning it was the complete opposite. The lady working that morning was clearly inconvenienced by my presence and was just about civil, though the food was quicker. No honey this time 😢. Maybe you can either have friendly service or speedy service but not both!! Chances are I won't have to stay in that part of Ireland again, thank God, but if I do I think I'll travel further for alternative accommodation rather than stay here again.

03/01/2026: The hotel is incredible, but there were a few issues with our staying. The suite I booked on the website was called “Garden suite”, arriving to the hotel they said the suite was called “the bridal suite”, which lead my partner and I to an argument as they thought I was proposing, which supposed to be a good night out, starting off with an unpleasant surprise! The room was amazing, but the hot water and the heating system was not working and when we told reception, they said it would be sorted out in a few minutes, we had hot water for 10 minutes and that was all, also they provide a Bath and a shower, but just 2 towels, which is odd. Then, we decided to have dinner at the room, I went down to order and they delivered missing the dessert and the gravy, nothing was offered to apologized to us. The staff, at least, were friendly the whole time.

27/02/2026: Been getting food here for years and never had any issues, the food is always a 10/10. Olympio and his staff are amazing and it’s great to see his spot so consistently busy.

24/01/2026: Fancied something tasty on a Saturday night, ordered pizza and chips, ready on time and the pizza and chips where so tasty,best pizza I've had in a long time, highly recommended and a nice clean place aswell
