The best restaurants in Navan (an uaimh)

26/08/2025: Just had a girls breakfast yesterday. The food - too much on every plate - was gorgeous, well presented. Staff was very young and nice and we stay for a couple of hours having a great time. Highly recommended!

14/07/2025: I ended up here after watching an episode of Derry Girls with a friend in which Gerry said he was from Navan. Anyway, we took the car and ended up in Navan. We went in and started ordering beers. The place is awesome, good food, even better atmosphere. It's a miracle we even got back to the hotel.

04/09/2025: We had great experience in China Garden...food was delicious...Crispy pieces, loads of sauce...very nice fried rice...very good service.Workers every few minutes were checking up on us with the smile..beautiful and cousy design of the restaurant.We definitely will come back for more!

01/08/2025: Ordered bacon & cheese garluc ciabatta starter, Gambini family pizza and prawn & chorizo linguine for takeaway. Waiting time is very long as dine in customers are prioritised. Starter was lovely, so was pizza, can't fault it. Pasta was awful! Mussels with small traces of sand still on them, almost chipped a tooth chewing into the dish, the pasta tomato sauce bland and we got what appeared to be spaghetti pasta not linguine pasta.

04/08/2025: The Gate is hands down my go-to spot whenever I’m in Navan. It’s the only place I trust for proper, freshly made food that hits the spot every time. The homemade soups are absolutely delicious, full of flavour and clearly made from scratch. I had the chicken Caesar salad on my last visit and it was perfect: crisp lettuce, juicy chicken, and the dressing was just right. Their wraps are always fresh and generously filled, you can really taste the quality. The service is super friendly and welcoming, which makes all the difference. You feel looked after from the moment you walk in. Whether you are popping in for a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxed lunch, The Gate always delivers. Can’t recommend it enough!

04/08/2025: We stopped into The Gate Restaurant in Navan as a family of four and were absolutely delighted with the experience. From start to finish, everything was spot on. We had two fresh scones to start, warm, buttery and just the right amount of crumbly. The full Irish breakfast was perfectly cooked and piping hot, the club sandwich was packed with flavour, and the fish and chips were fresh and flaky with a lovely crispy batter. The service was brilliant, friendly, quick and welcoming and the menu had loads of great options for everyone, which is no small thing when you're feeding a family! Plenty of choice, whether you're after a light bite or something more hearty. Coffee was also very good, rich, smooth and served nice and hot. We’ll definitely be back. A gem of a spot in Navan.

23/08/2025: Went here with my girlfriend and friend. It's a lovely cafe. They do very nice sandwiches and the bread they use is just georgous. They do amazing soup also. Definitely worth a try even if it's your first time because you won't be disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff

27/07/2025: Great to see a set menu option, shame a lot of it has a lot of supplements (feels like anything that's not chicken) Plenty of tasty food with loads of options for all courses, also big portions so won't go hungry Served quickly by super friendly staff Non stop people coming and going and groups of people so you know it's good Highly recommend

26/07/2025: Terrific cafe. The likes of which other cafes should learn from. Everything well considered. Coffee is Bell Lane and very well made Americanos. Lunch selection is very good and specials are always even better. Had the breakfast burrito special with paprika fries. It was so good. Everything reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
