07/02/2026: Great food when you dine-in than take-away and the ambience adds to it. Wonderful service by staff and owner making sure she visits every table to see everything served is right

03/02/2026: First time going to china garden for a sit down meal, food was lovely, staff extremely friendly, atmosphere and decor fantastic, the only thing was we booked the table for 19:30pm and was waiting in the reception area 25/30mins to be seated.

12/12/2025: Horrible experience tonight, waited 20 minutes for food, it was all freezing, rotten lettuce in burgers, drinks machine was not calibrated properly. Money is hard enough earned and nearly 50 euro on 2 adults and 2 kids meals for cold food isn't good enough in this day and age. As an ex burger king manager I found the service appalling, the staff hadn't a notion what they were doing, 3 staff working a drive through, just eat orders, kitchen and till. Then a bus full of people landed in after us, i'd say they're still waiting on food! Labour needs to be increased because the work standards have slipped considerably since my time working in the chain, it was actually painful to watch!

12/12/2025: Every time I go the order is wrong. Was there not even 5 minutes ago got my take away order drove back to work and It's wrong again and I can't eat it. Tried calling and the phone is off the hook. Just a waste of time and money

20/12/2025: Pizza Max. God, the pizza. The pepperoni glistens like hope itself, each slice a warm reminder that maybe life hasn’t completely kicked me to the curb. That cheese stretch… it brings a tear to my eye these days. I swear, when I open that cardboard box and the steam hits my face, I feel younger. My back stops throbbing for a moment. I remember laughter. But those sides, let me tell you… the garlic bread is like chewing disappointment. The wedges? The texture of wet regret. Whoever made the chicken bites must’ve had something against humanity. The sides are a betrayal, a cruel joke—but the pizza saves you. Every. Single. Time. Now… the garlic sauce. Not the fancy tub, not that branded lid corporate nonsense they push now. No. I’m talking about the plain white tub—the one that looks cheap, like it was packed illegally behind the shop—but my GOD the flavour. It’s beautiful. Almost spiritual. Like dipping into liquid redemption. I would bathe in it if my doctor didn’t already warn me about cholesterol. Sometimes I sit in my car outside the shop, alone, engine running, crust dangling from my hand… and for a moment everything makes sense. The world is chaos, marriages crumble, kids grow up and forget you exist—but Pizza Max pizza? That stays. People laugh when I say Pizza Max kept me alive through ‘97. But they don’t know. They can’t know. Pizza Max isn’t food. It’s therapy disguised as a greasy box

27/11/2025: Pizza always good and tasty but delivery service is worse always forgot something like drink and chips if you call them they said it's driver mistake.

29/12/2025: Wonderful soup and brown bread. Felt like home made soup. Great friendly staff. Highly recommend.

16/12/2025: We had a delicious turkey and ham dinner in Ryan's. Huge portions, but it was such a gorgeous meal. Would definitely go back. Very reasonably priced too.

12/11/2025: I would give Henry Loughran 5 out of 5 stars. If I were to summarise: this is a great spot if you’re in Navan, want a friendly, social bar with live music options and a bit of character. For a relaxed and fun bar‐experience it hits the mark. My Tips For Visiting If possible, go before the peak evening crowd (earlier in the evening) to grab a good seat in the beer garden or near the bar. Check whether live music or events are on that night — it can add a lot to the experience. Ask about any drink specials (local craft beers, etc) — staff are friendly. Since it has strong character and heritage, take a moment to appreciate the history of the place (the building dates from the late 19th century).

26/07/2025: If you are looking for a traditional pub, not a place that is all bling and no atmosphere, Henry’s is by far the best place in town!

07/12/2025: Crystal has been out no.1 choice in Navan for the last two years but today unfortunately we had an extremely disappointing experience. I understand it is a Sunday at brunch/lunch time but it took over 30 minutes for our food - a fry and soup and a sandwich. I ordered the turkey ciabatta special which came with chips and side salad. I also ordered a cup of soup. When our food finally arrived, there were no chips on my plate. Just soup and a side salad. I thought oh maybe because I asked for soup, it was substituted. As we were in a rush we ate our food (fry was cold and soup was tasteless unfortunately) and when I went to pay I queried if my chips had been substituted when I heard the price. I was told no as it was €13.50 even if you didn’t get the sides, that it is all inclusive of the special. I was shocked by this as I didn’t get chips. I was told they could bring them now but as we were already in a rush I declined. I do understand that a special is a special, but I do find it ridiculous to not get a part of it and still have to pay when you don’t get it. Overall, very disappointed with our experience and it will be a while before we return, if at all.

01/01/2026: Not enough staff to manage the amount of tables, only one girl trying to manage the whole floor, the other girl seemed to disappear, bar man couldn’t be bothered trying to help the girl, we waited over an hour for for 3 stir fry’s and 1 smash burger and decided to leave as there was no sign of it coming, as was another gentleman, and probably many more after that. Very disappointed.
