17/05/2026: Large estate with woods, lakes, marshes, a riding stable and ancient buildings that, however, cannot be visited.
13/05/2026: This was the first place we stayed at on our Ireland adventure and they set the bar VERY high. I highly recommend them!
The beds were the most comfortable on our whole trip. The room was beautifully appointed with extra touches, like the fresh mini-muffins that were delicious. They also had our favorite breakfast, of all the places we stayed. My mom is STILL raving about their porridge and will be trying to get their recipe!
Be sure to walk the grounds and enjoy the town right outside the main entrance! The beauty and quaint charm of this place is hard to overstate!
Well done to the entire staff and, hopefully, we'll come again!

Coach House & Olde Bar

08/07/2026: My wife and I hosted a pre-wedding event here this past Friday and it was unbelievable! Diane was fantastic and so helpful in the preparation up to the event, the event space was gorgeous, it was a covered outdoor space that had a private entrance, and Diane set us up with our own bartender. The venue was a nice size, yet felt intimate! We had maybe 60 people attend the event and it was so wonderful for both of our sides of the family to meet ahead of the wedding on Sunday! I highly recommend the Coachhouse for anybody looking to host an event, but I especially recommend it for a pre-wedding event or an afters for anyone having their wedding at the castle!

14/06/2026: We walked in hungry and went home hungry. I ordered a BLT, but when it came out, it was almost entirely lettuce with hardly any bacon. The tiny bit of bacon that was there was chopped up into minuscule pieces. My husband ordered the bacon melt and had the exact same issue—barely any bacon, cut into tiny pieces. To make matters worse, his sandwich was served on the heel of the bread, not even a proper slice! Incredibly disappointing and highly overpriced for what you get. Would not recommend.

06/06/2026: Took grandson for birthday treat, and a catch up, had a party of loud ladies next to us, very off putting for us ! service was great, as an ex baker, all pizza bases looked factory made, all the same size and shape, ? They have a bring your own policy, and well advertised, BUT not so well advertised is a €3.50 surcharge! Not great when I brought 1 can of 70P super market beer, I didn't get a glass, or a bottle opener, and was taking my empty can home until I seen this outrageous charge ! Not a cheap night out by no means, so definitely will not return! a real restaurant is a better bet and no silly €3.50 charge for corkage????
My grandson teenage gave it a 3 out of 10, !!!!!!
Not cheap ! At € 25 per person for pizza, chips 🍟 ???????
