20/06/2026: The people who work for Flynn's bakery are always so friendly and warm. I've loved their fresh cream buns all of my life. They still use dairy whipped cream, unsweetened as it should be, and are the real deal. Their sausage rolls are delicious, also the same ingredients for as long as I can remember. My family always enjoy their baked goods, generous Irish breakfasts and brown soda bread. Prices have remained reasonable. Whenever I'm home I go there several times a week as I'm grateful for their quality ingredients and tasty options. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile.
27/03/2026: Would not reccomend. Found human hair in black forest cake. Brought to attention of counter staff who gave refund though no follow up from manager despite being asked for my number.

17/09/2026: Food-wise, the restaurant is perfectly fine. It tastes like every other Supermac's meal. The restaurant itself isn't the most pleasant to eat in. It's surprisingly small for a premises in a county town. They've closed off upstairs, leaving just the smallish ground floor available for customers. Seating is limited and the whole place feels quite cramped.

15/07/2026: Great gift shop with lots of ideas for us to choose from. Gifts covering all occasions. King Oak also has a nice display of jewellery and pictures. Outside King Oak also has a great display of Children's houses, slides and outdoor activity equipment for kids.
In side King Oak there is also a cafe where you can have something to eat or just a coffee. Staff very helpful and informative.

06/09/2026: Absolutely ridiculous the floor needs a good wash all slippy and to make it worse I have a broken leg and on crutches. Also candy floss frappe due to go tomorrow the 7th of September and non available which was the only reason for our visit

05/07/2026: Food is the same quality as other fused Chinese restaurant. However it is considerably more expensive. The mains were > €20 and did not include boiled rice, which was an extra €4.6.
Considering the price, I was expecting better.

15/08/2026: We ordered Large Chicken Shawarma Kebab and a Large Lamb Tikka BBQ Kebab.
My Kebab was very small for a large and missing the ordered cheese. One was soaked in sauce and the other bone dry. Very average food.
The Shawarma was very dry and no flavour.

Hung up on me.
Called again order was missing drinks
Couldn't finish the chicken tenders you could taste the old oil.
Tried a third of the chicken. Kebab wasnt great.
The place will not be getting my money again.
Food would run right through you.

21/08/2026: Ordered pizza and garlic bread paid for on phone then when delivery came was charged extra 3 euro ... pizza and garlic bread base was still raw .... absolute dirt would NEVER order again .......check food before using it

19/02/2025: Not a Italian food not good no veg for pizza when asked only meat and roasted peppers : I wouldn’t recommend this place at all as it’s over priced and food was reheated. The vegetable I got with my lamb Shank was soggy and over cooked . The roasted potatoes where very dry all seemed reheated. Defo wouldn’t return.
15/02/2025: We went for dinner in Balcone resteraunt last night , I ordered bruschetta for starter , what I was served was not in any way a resteraunt standard bruschetta , it was a cheesy garlic bread , garlic butter which with melted cheddar and two cherry tomatoes placed on top . This resteraunt is apparently an Italian resteraunt but even the carbonara I had for my main course was more like soup , it had a very nice flavour but definitely wasn’t anywhere near authentic carbonara . I nearly needed a spoon to eat it, it had onion and grated cheese on top which I thought unusual. We had an assorted dessert and they were fine . Service was extremely slow . I would not recommend this restaurant

04/02/2024: Please employ a proper chef with the necessary skills to prepare the food, had a horrible lunch there recently, also give the place a good clean, doesn’t give much hope to see Lidl salt & pepper on the table and Lidl cleaning products on the bar
