11/06/2026: Fantastic pint with good service
06/06/2026: Spend our last night at this local pub which was walking distance from our hotel. Tom the bartender was awesome. He gave me a personal view on the Irish whisky’s the bar had and explained each one’s differences. He was very knowledgeable and great with the group.

NoLIta
Dublin
14/05/2026: came to celebrate my wedding anniversary, and what was meant to be a memorable night ended up being incredibly disappointing to say the least. the food was average at best, and the service… the service was nothing short of terrible. we spent most of the evening waiting for someone to attend us and when the server finally took notice in us they were ridiculously rude and standoffish. never coming back.
12/05/2026: Served by Marcella. She is really kind, introducing food, always smiling! We got wonderful service! Thank you!

Kingfisher

The Fourth Corner
Dublin
04/07/2026: Me and my friend went to get food and someone came inside the building with a Pitbull that started shaking fur everywhere, and I’m allergic to dog hair but also asthmatic so I was pissed off. Everyone in the area slowly started leaving not just us, plus the staff pet the dog and went back to organising the clean glasses… disgusting
29/06/2026: This bar has no respect for locals in the area. Quite often, their security alarm goes off and it’s loud, very loud and worst of all, it’s in the middle of the night where no one can turn it off. The owner has been informed of this issue but nothing has been done. Nothing! Do better, respect the local area.

Green Man Wines
Dublin
05/05/2026: Excellent food and, of course, wine. Staff were very accommodating and sweet. They fit us in on my birthday. Will be back!
02/05/2026: Lovely evening here recently. A small but imaginative menu- tried pretty much all of the hot dishes and they were all excellent, particularly the hake and the purple sprouted broccoli. Fabulous selection of wines and friendly, knowledgeable staff who are happy to help. I'll definitely be back.

The Long Hall
Dublin
17/06/2026: Busy pub but you'll always find a corner to occupy. No live music, no TV. Just conversation, good service & drinks aplenty. Friendly bar staff & waiting staff.
16/06/2026: Friendly and welcoming even by Irish pub standards. A beautiful historic pub and a lovely place to spend a few hours. Tried their own brewery's Nitro Red Ale and their stout. Both were really good. Obviously a tourist destination but doesn't feel overly touristy. Well worth a visit.

The Merry Cobbler
Dublin
11/05/2026: We went here for lunch with a group of friends and I had the chance to try the "Chicken Pie" for the first time 🥧🍗 I have no other comparison but I have to say that the flavor was excellent and the dish was well presented. Affordable prices and a wide selection of beers as always in Ireland 🇮🇪☘️🍺 The guy who served us was kind, answered all our questions and made us feel at ease. The place and the neighborhood are very nice and clean, if you are staying in the Sandymount area and surrounding areas I recommend it, it's right next to the beautiful St. Matthews Church ⛪
10/05/2026: Had such a lovely experience at The Merry Cobbler! After a beautiful walk with our dog, we were so happy to find somewhere genuinely dog friendly and welcoming. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, making sure both we and our pup felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and it made the whole outing even more special. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food with such thoughtful hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Red Torch Ginger
Dublin
06/07/2026: We went early on a Monday with no reservation, I would say make sure to book if looking for 6pm onwards. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere although it was quiet when we were there.
27/06/2026: We stumbled upon Red Torch Ginger in Dublin completely by accident, and it turned out to be one of the happiest surprises of our trip. Both of us were craving Asian food after a long day, and since Thai is one of our all-time favorites, we decided to give it a try.
From the moment we walked in, the first impression was excellent. The restaurant has a stylish, modern Asian aesthetic with elegant touches — warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a classy yet welcoming vibe that immediately makes you feel relaxed. It strikes a lovely balance between contemporary and traditional Asian design without feeling overdone.
Since we had already eaten a light dinner earlier, we kept things light and ordered just a couple of small snacks to share along with two cocktails. I went for the Raspberry Martini, while my partner chose the Red Torch Cooler. Both cocktails were beautifully presented and packed with fresh, vibrant flavors — the Raspberry Martini was nicely balanced with a smooth finish, and the Red Torch Cooler was refreshing and slightly tropical.
For food, we ordered the Tom Yum soup and Chicken Satay. The Tom Yum was outstanding — rich, aromatic, with that perfect balance of spicy, sour, and savory notes that makes Thai cuisine so addictive. The Chicken Satay was also very tasty, with a flavorful marinade and a nice char from the grill. The only small critique is that the satay was a bit on the dry side (the peanut sauce helped, but it could have used a touch more moisture).
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly — they had that classic Asian hospitality that makes you feel truly cared for. They checked on us multiple times, offered recommendations, and were happy to accommodate our lighter-order request without any fuss.
Overall, Red Torch Ginger delivered a wonderful experience. Great ambiance, delicious flavors, and excellent service made our accidental visit feel intentional. We’d definitely return for a full meal next time — especially for more of that Tom Yum! Highly recommended if you’re in Dublin and craving quality Thai food.
