07/07/2024: this is a wonderful Victorian pub. The atmosphere is chill even though they seem to be busy all the time. nice little tables set up outside. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

24/09/2024: The layout and set up of the bar was good as was the atmosphere. However the food was very poor. The veg soup was puréed and full of cream (not really a veg soup). The Cobb salad was smothered in something that tasted like English mustard (which I like but not too this length). Not a lot of options nearby so the prices are also very high. The bottles of soft drinks were tiny and a ridiculous price. I did question a few things but just got blank looks. Feel like I visited a diffrent place compared to other recent reviews
20/07/2024: Sanctuary bar ambiance and food was superb special thank you to Mr Devang for serving nicely. Overall experience was great 👍.

28/04/2024: Four of us had a quick lunch in Grooms before a visit to the Gate theatre across the road.
We had soup and sandwiches all of which were very nice. The loos are positively luxurious. But the staff are outstanding! They do their utmost to get you exactly what you want in the time available to you.
A lovely place for a lunch in town and although it was a busy Saturday, they were attentive, helpful and made our visit a pleasure!
One soup, three BLTs, teas and coffees, total bill, €60! Good value and a lovely experience

12/10/2024: The food and wine are fabulous we were blown away by the food , but unfortunately one member of younger female staff is terribly rude no manners not even a hello stood over us and didn’t say a word.We should have asked what the name of this staff member was because there was another young girl and she was so polite. Again food and wine are very nice but when you are spending this kind of money you expect the basics such as a hello, this staff member served us all night on the 12th of October and put a damper on our experience

09/10/2024: Estábamos en la zona para una ocasión familiar a la vuelta de la esquina, así que decidí invitar a mi esposa y papá a una comida para su cumpleaños.
Tuvimos un par de pintas agradables y un poco de comida, la experiencia gastronómica fue mixta entre nosotros dependiendo de quién tenía qué. Mi consejo y esto se mantendría independientemente del restaurante, pero se aplica aquí: evite el asado del domingo tarde en una noche de domingo.
Tuve el filete de 8 onzas y estaba muy contento con él, pero desearía haber ido por papas fritas como un lado. En general, todos estábamos mucho más impresionados con los titulares.
16/09/2024: Excelente comida, bebidas, servicio y ambiente. Hemos disfrutado de varias cenas. A mi marido le gustaba el jamón y el pastel Brie. Me gusta mucho su comida de mariscos y pescado con papas fritas. Una noche ajetreada, nos sentamos en el bar y tuvimos una vista de la cocina a través de la ventana de pedidos. Lo ejecutan eficientemente y es inmaculado
Gracias a nuestro servidor Leslie y anfitrión Liam. Es nuestro gastropub favorito en Dublín.
