Premier Inn Dublin Airport hotel
Swords
12/06/2026: The half-board option was good, the room was well-designed, with a proper shower. The only downsides were the lack of luggage space and the absence of bottled water upon arrival. The restaurant was good; we were pleasantly surprised. It's very close to the airport with a shuttle service available for €3 (as of June 2026) or an Uber.
09/06/2026: This was by far the most disappointing hotel of this trip and one I would not choose to stay at again. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke upon arrival, despite the hotel being advertised as non-smoking. The rooms are very dated and in need of significant updating. The beds and pillows were also extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The room was also lacking basic amenities that many travelers expect. There was no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker, which made the stay much less convenient than anticipated. On top of that, guests are charged extra for both parking and breakfast, which felt unreasonable given the overall condition and quality of the hotel. The only positive aspect of the stay was the shower, which was clean, modern, and had great water pressure. Overall, this hotel fell far short of expectations. Between the cigarette smell, uncomfortable accommodations, outdated rooms, lack of basic amenities, and additional charges for parking and breakfast, I cannot recommend it and would not return.

The Harp Bar
Swords
04/01/2026: We arrived as a party of 4 adults and 1 child on Saturday evening. We we're promptly seated and treated extremely well by the staff in a professional and courteous manner. The food was excellent and all plates were served together. Based on this visit we would have no hesitation in making a return trip...especially for the wings & ribs
01/01/2026: I’m reviewing Envy Club, located beneath K Sixty Seven and run by the same management.
After returning from New Year’s Eve, my initial overall impression of the club would normally be 3.5/5 (or 4/5 if not for the very young crowd, mostly aged 19–25).
However, due to what happened last night, my final rating is 2/5. I may revise it in the future.
The main issue is cloakroom management — or rather, the complete lack of resources and planning. There is only one cloakroom window for the entire club, located in a very narrow corridor, which is already a poor setup.
While it was clear at entry that this could become a problem, what happened at 2:30 AM at closing time can only be described as chaos: panic, frustration, zero crowd control, and no meaningful organization.
When I left the main room at 2:30 to collect my jacket, there was already a long queue. I was surprised when a security guard redirected people away from the natural queueing side (closer to the main room) and told us to line up on the exit side instead. This later turned out to be a mistake, and one of the guards even admitted it contributed to the chaos.
In reality, there were two queues leading to a single cloakroom window, plus a group of people pushing directly at the counter between them. All of this took place in a tight corridor, so physical altercations were inevitable.
Security staff repeatedly intervened to break up fights, but no one actually controlled the queues. There was no discipline, no prevention of pushing or cutting in line, and no clear authority. The queues simply “lived their own life.”
It is unacceptable that a club of this size cannot organize something as basic as coat collection, especially when it creates real safety risks and extreme discomfort for guests. At one point, I genuinely thought I wouldn’t get out until morning.
I overheard one security guard say to another:
“What can you do? There’s nothing you can do here.”
And unfortunately, that perfectly summed up the situation and the level of crowd control on display.

The Chalk Bar
Swords
11/04/2026: I don’t usually leave reviews but some of you may get a little giggle out of my cheeky encounter. After seeing reviews that they clamped cars I kept an eye out, but once I seen the staff oh mama! My eyes went googly moogly. I completely forgot about the safety of my vehicle. Tall, pale, handsome, blue eyes, a mustache fit for a saddle. Rough ‘n’ tumble. I ordered the pornstar martini thinking he’d at least take his top off but was sourly disappointed when he didn’t! I was so entranced by this man that my car actually DID get clamped but I saw it similar to a medical clamp, a short discomfort that would lead to prime human optimization. This optimization led me to be able to view my sweet sweet gentleman as he left work and got into a beautiful van. My carriage. Does anybody know who this man is? I’ve been working up the courage to leave this review for a long time now.

14/01/2026: Great NYE night out, excellent staff! Came here for New Year's Eve 2025 with my girlfriend and her friends. Good spot for a big night out.
The bar staff were surprisingly attentive and friendly, which is rare these days, especially on such a busy night. Big shoutout to the bouncers too. Fair prices for drinks, nice venue with a good setup.
The only downside is that it was VERY overcrowded inside. There was a massive line all the way down the road to get in, so you need to get there early on big nights. Overall, a solid night despite the squeeze.

Starbucks
Swords
28/05/2026: The price is expensive the drink is fair .the bathrooms are not clean I don't like the branch .
05/05/2026: I went here for a meeting and got a latte and a croissant.
First the good, the staff was very nice and the lady who took my order was smiling and helpful. The croissant was heated in the oven instead of the microwave and was lovely.
The coffee however was extremely disappointing. The latte tasted like a mug of steamed milk a little of coffee flavouring mixed in with a spoon. It did not seem that the barista had touched my coffee. I knew there was a reason why I don’t visit Starbucks and the coffee today consolidated that!
If coffee is the main selling point, I expect a latte to have coffee in it not to just have crossed paths with coffee on the journey to my table!
