The Tea Rooms Derrynane

03/04/2024: Derrynane House is a lovely little museum near Caherdaniel. Even though it is very small, all the exhibits are very lovingly arranged and the staff on site are extremely dedicated and willing to provide information.
If you want, you can spend quite some time there and listen to the stories about Daniel O'Connell and his family. The adjoining café offers a few snacks and the nearby beach is ideal for wonderful walks. Im park there is a little fairy wood.
Particularly noteworthy on the beach is a house shaped like a ship.
04/02/2024: We didn't visit the house itself, but a very informative tour down to the beach started from here. Our tour guide explained various edible plants that you can find and eat on the beach. He also had samples with him or picked them directly.

13/02/2024: This Bar made my stay in Dingle, I had a lot of good laughs with the friendly staff and locals. I highly recommend a Dingle Gin & Tonic or an Espresso Martini. I would 100% stop again if I was in the area, cheers!
29/01/2024: We have just had a fantastic time in this bar listening to traditional Irish music on a Monday night in January in Dingle. We are staying in Benners hotel and just went for a walk after dinner and heard the music so we went in and sat in the little snug room and listened to fantastic music. A lovely treat.

26/11/2023: A lovely, quiet cosy bar which is a welcome retreat from some of the busier bars in Killarney. Friendly and chatty staff and locals. A roaring fire in the winter and of course creamy Guiness. What else do you need?

All the locals we met were interesting and we enjoyed talking with them.
But, I would not recommend the pizza, sorry to say, we have had frozen pizza that's been better.

26/01/2024: It's a fun pub to have a pint with the locals. It's an old, family operated pub. No food is served.
26/10/2023: Great pub with friendly atmosphere, and great Guinness. We were in on a Thursday evening and it was a little quiet but the barman was friendly and some good banter. Not overly touristy like some pubs in Dingle.

19/10/2023: They charge me €40 for a battery jumpstart that didn’t took 2min, my car was just around the corner in front of super value. Considering that I bought a new battery with them witch cost me another €129, I found €40 for a jumper very touristic opportunist. I don’t even know if really needed the battery change but didn’t wanna take the risk to stop on the road.
27/09/2023: Flat tire on a rental car. When I showed up the office gentleman was polite and informed. Handed it to the mechanic who was also polite and informative. 20 minutes later back on the road. I e been in the business for 30 years and this was a very refreshing experience. (Not to mention they have an amazing convenience store attached!)

23/08/2023: Loved this place. So many options to choose from. Interesting design. Friendly service. Tasty scones. If I may make an observation, I'd say coffee quality could be slightly improved. It was slightly burnt and way too bitter. Other than that, great place. Can't wait to came back
22/08/2023: There is a bakery doing a lot of good stuff and it is also a cafe with sandwiches, breakfasts etc. Good cakes. I didn’t quite understand the queuing system

29/03/2024: We came to the pub two nights to see Pat sing and we wasn’t disappointed. We had a good two nights and sang a lot. The food was alright but the steaks were very overcooked when we went. This didn’t put us off and we went back again the next night!
22/03/2024: Angus ain’t just a review- if you are lucky enough to have this man tending to you please ask more than what’s the best beer here? Come here for a great time, ask for angus (he is the best) and stay for the entertainment.
