Harp Tavern

Sligo
07/06/2025: Ann and her team were absolutely spot on! I went here for a stag party for my friend and we couldnt have asked for a better night. I had went in to reserve a table and Ann sorted us out with a private function room , the room was spacious had a smart TV we could use to play some music and we got regularly checked on by the staff who were all amazing! We decided to order some pizzas between us all and in my opinion its the best pizza in Sligo , cooked to perfection so fairplay to the chefs! great job! If your looking for a friendly spot to have a stag / birthday I would highly recommend here. Ann is one of a kind and I am glad to have had such a special night here. Couldnt recommend enough
05/06/2025: While stopping by for a beer, we encountered the least friendly and smiley waitress in all of Ireland... A disdainful look towards the French tourist who didn't understand at first... Luckily, the Guinness was cold.

Ocean Sands Hotel - Enniscrone, Co. Sligo, Ireland

Inniscrone
21/06/2025: Called into restaurant on not that busy of a Saturday, asked for separate tables as didn't expect a table to be available for a group of 9 , staff just couldn't be bothered trying to accommodate us, just said can't be done. Sums up enniscrone in general apart from the beach there isn't much happening, and the general hospitality is poor.
20/06/2025: Beautiful hotel well run, helpful accomadating staff, good food choices and excellent service.

Osta Café and Wine Bar

Sligo
14/06/2025: Terrible service. Terrible food.
14/06/2025: I spent around €18 at Osta Café and Wine Bar for a solo lunch, and it felt like money well spent. I ordered the toasted goat cheese and beetroot sandwich, which was rich and full of flavour — the kind of combination that’s clearly thought out and not just thrown together. Alongside it, I had a flat white that was smooth and strong, just right for a midday pick-me-up. Finished it off with a fresh scone served warm with butter and jam — light, crumbly, and absolutely hit the spot. The atmosphere at Osta is calm and classy, but still very welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can relax by the riverside and take your time. Whether you're stopping in for coffee or sitting down for a longer meal, it feels just right — not too formal, not too casual. Service was solid too. The staff were friendly without being over the top, and they had everything out in good time. You can tell they’re used to regulars and treat new faces just the same — with a bit of warmth and a smile.

Ait Eile

Inniscrone
11/02/2025: We had a lovely experience in Ait Eile last weekend. Service was excellent. Lovely choice of wines and the food was superb. I had cod which was absolutely delicious. Others had steak, salmon and a variety of starters. Apart from the steak being a little over cooked, the meal was just a lovely experience.
07/01/2025: I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Ait Eile, firstly I was warmly welcomed in by Tracy. There were lots of options for both adults and kids on the menu. Katie, my server, was really kind and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. After my mains I had a warm brownie dessert, it was unbelievable Overall I would highly recommend Ait Eile to anyone looking for a clean and welcoming environment to eat.

The gourmet parlour at the village food fair collooney

01/04/2025: I was invited to a brunch where everybody had to bring something "from home". I just went directly to Gourmet Parlour and one hour later, all the other guests at the brunch were enthusing over the delicious quiches I bought. I even bought one for my mother, who is not a "quiche woman" and she also enthused. To such an extent that I had to go another day and buy more. Yes, the prices are on the high side but the quality of the products and service more than make up for that. I wish people would stop complaining about the price of food created with love and good, healthy, IRISH ingredients.
18/12/2024: Stopped here for a takeaway sandwich during the week, turkey, ham and stuffing on brown bread, sandwich was approx 7cm by 9cm, was absolutely lovely but priced at €8.90 per sandwich was a bit much, I am by no means a miser, but come on, €8.90 for a sandwich that size with 3 small fillings in it. you are shooting yourselves in the foot and while your food is very good I for one will not be returning.
